Well, my mom is buying a car tonight, and I am going for moral support. I want to look... knowledgeable, financially secure yet not wealthy, and of course attractive. Like it matters, I will be roaming around the dealership dreaming of a new car while my mom signes 15,000 documents.
So I finally picked up my clothes from the dry cleaners. I don't feel as desperate to go shopping. It's like I jsut bought three pairs of trousers, a sweater, a jacket and a skirt!
Candy pink merino v-neck from this season at J. Crew. Chocolate brown cashmere/wool cuffed trousers from Ann Taylor. Brown croco pumps. Silver hoops and cuff. My new Maybelline Dream Mousse whachamajig blush that matches my sweater (and it worked under the powder last night but today liked it better over the powder). Black liquid liner Audrey-like eyes. Pink gloss that I ADORE and found a few more at my local grocery.
Sally Hansen (yes the nail polish company) had a brand of gloss come out this past spring - Diamond Lip Treatment. I bought it on a whim and I really like it. It feels good on the lips - hydrating and smooth feeling - not terribly sticky. The shimmer isn't too intense. It smells good, a bit like cookies. I bought Must Have Iris on a whim - a hot pink color. On the lips it's more of a sheer candy pink. $4.99 at my local grocery.
I adore it. I think my lips are dealing with the winter better because of it. I have looked for more at Target, CVS, drugstore.com and other groceries with no success. Not even a display for their lipglosses. Thsir site says this gloss is new. I went to a grocery near my job yesterday and found four sad lonely glosses int heir display. I bought Champagne Toast (a pale pinky-nude with shimmer) and Royal Romance (a bronzy-nude color with shimmer, looks like the color to the far left on the website). For the price, I suggest you check it out!
