Today all my clothes were hanging in the doorways of my upstairs - I did my Woolite loads the night before and sent the non-washables to the cleaners. This left slim pickings to look sassy.

Ivory sueded cotton bootcut trousers from Ann Taylor. Black merino v-neck from Ann Taylor. Strand of pearls from The Limited knotted at the neck so that it hung like a necktie. Black Enzo boots. Pearl studs and a three-strand pearl bracelet (both from The Limited).

Hair was beachy-wavy thanks to a diffuser, Marc Anthony Strictly Curls gel mixed with some Lubriderm, and a touch of Bio Silk. Those unruly pieces were tamed with a large-barreled curling iron.

Makeup was i.d. Bare Escentuals foundation and concealer, Nars Orgasm blush. BeneFit's f..y..eye! was applied to my lids, and a light dusting of ivory shadow from Stila over it. Lashes were curled and several applications of mascara put on them. Then a decent-sized line of Maybelline's Ultra Liner in black on the top lash line. On the lips was Golide's lipgloss in Blossom.
