Coral and white striped boatneck cotton sweater from Ann Taylor Loft - I snagged it this weekend for a cool $9.99. I swear it looks far cuter in person than in this picture. White jeans from Caslon. Tan leather heeled thongs from Mossimo. Silver cuff and hoops.
Hair is a masterpiece, again hard to see in the picture. You want to know why it looks so cool? because it KNOWS that it is getting cut this evening! I washed it, added my Suave/Redken curling mousse and put it up in a scrunchie while I got dressed. Then the power went out. I freaked out thinking I would have to go to work with wet hair. I continued dressing, put my makeup on in the half-light of 7am and living in the woods and by time my face and clothes were done and I grabbed a quick breakfast, the power was back on. I dried the semi-damp hair with a diffuser, then hit a large-barreled curling iron to certain unrfuly pieces and then brushed it out for a voluminous Brigitte Bardot sorta look that I felt fit the nautical outfit.
As for makeup, I went to Sephora this weekend and bought Bare Minerals foundation in Light. I felt that Fairly Light was too pale with the twinge of color I get even with all my sunscreen. Such a good purchase, the color totally matches my skin and looks far more natural. I didn't even need concealer with it. I also used Bare Minerals Warmth for color, a quick dash of nars Orgasm on the cheeks and Sally Hansen's Diamond Lipcolor in Champagne Toast on the lips. For eyes, only two coats of black mascara on curled lashes and a line of black Ultra Liner by Maybelline on the top lash line.
So cute!
ReplyDeleteI love the outfit and the hairstyle!
Isn't it crazy how your hair suddenly looks incredible right before a change?
