Social Media ToolkitThe protest over the Dakota Access Pipeline (DAPL) has been ongoing for two years, but it only recently grabbed media attention. If you’re like many I know, you’re concerned about the protests, but you’re not really sure about the details and how we got to this situation.

If the DAPL is built, the 1,172-mile pipeline will transport up to 570,000 barrels of crude oil every day through ancient burial and ceremonial grounds of Standing Rock,

It’s not just because I remember the ‘90s. It’s not just because I became an adult with my own clothing spending money during that decade (graduated from high school in 1993, same year as the gang from the original 90210).  It’s because I remember then and I see now that ‘90s fashion is the universal equalizer.

Bucketfeet | Everyone should have a piece of art in their closet

Hi everyone, WO2 intern Jasmin here! On Wednesday, July 20th I had the opportunity to attend the DC grand opening of Bucketfeet, a shoe company based in Chicago. It was founded by Raaja Nemani and Aaron Firestein in 2011 after they met each other in Argentina. Their collection of footwear features designs from thousands of artists across the globe. This gives artists a chance to expose their art to the public and receive money for their work.
