When I walk into McDonald’s, I want fries.
I already know a salad is the choice that would better help me achieve my diet goals. Ah, but those fries. They just smell and taste so good.
This post, I’m going to talk about one of my favorite products, especially during the summer months. However, if asked if it does what it claims, I’d have to shrug and go hmmm. Like a decadent order of Mickey D’s fries accompanied by a packet of ketchup – using it just feels so good!
I initially purchased Boscia’s Super Cool De-Puffing Eye Balm to help with the ever-present dark circles under my eyes. Boscia also claims the roll on balm stick will instantly de-puff delicate eye skin and over time diminish fine lines and brighten dark circles.
I’m a huge fan of Boscia products. Each one I’ve tried has lived up to its promise and more, until this one. It didn’t brighten my dark circles, noticeably erase tiny lines or de-puff the skin around my eyes.
So why did I buy it for a second time when the first tube was worn down to the nub after nearly a year of constant use? Because it feels absolutely wonderful when I glide it along the skin beneath my eyes, especially on a hot summer day.
The cooling effect is refreshing. It revives my tired eyes, as Boscia claims, enough to make me want to tackle another hour or two of staring at the computer screen. For me, that’s enough to justify the $26 price tag and make it a mainstay, not so much on my vanity, but my desk.
Boscia’s Super Cool De-Puffing Eye Balm can be applied before or after you’ve put your face on. It won’t disturb your make-up, and I haven’t had any problems with eye irritation.
So, is it just me? Or have any of you ever bought a beauty product, not so much because it worked, but solely because it made you feel great?

I have hand lotions that aren’t the greatest that I continue to use because I like the way they smell. Sometimes I’ll mix them with the cheap and effective standbys just to get the fragrence.

This sounds like exactly what I need this morning.
So, have you found anything that DOES work to de-puff under the eyes? I desparately need something. The dark circles aren’t so bad, but the bags under my eyes look like I could pack them for a month-long cruise!
The ONLY thing that has worked at all for me (and it isn’t 100%) is the combination of a guggul supplement and the Cellular Eye Complex from Garden of Wisdom (which isn’t cheap, but no worse than the price on stuff at Sephora). Nothing eliminates my bags completely, but that helps. And going easy on the concealer, too much makes them look far worse!
