On a Break…

Went to the midwife yesterday and my blood pressure is very high.

I am on partial bedrest and now have to work from home.

Right now I am in an old black scoop tee and gray cropped yoga pants – both from Old Navy. I'm not feeling all that chic or stylish right about now. My house is a mess since it is all under construction (except my bedroom where I am camping out) so everything is covered with dust, my bathroom looks worse than truck stop from contractors tromping through there… point is I am not sure when I will be posting my looks again.

My due date had changed to January 2, 2009. I hope she stays in there as long as she needs – if it's until after Christmas all the better because the house will be complete by Christmas. Also… I got her a onesie that says “Capricorn” on it so I hope she doesn't arrive until after the 22nd. 🙂

I will post on occasion – catch up on some product reviews, let you know how the baby and I are doing, etc.

If I don't get the chance, I hope everyone has a happy and healthy holiday season!!!

Much love to all you fab folks,

Hi, I enjoy all your photos and posts. Sometimes they inspire me to take the time to present myself to the world in a more organized fashion. Best wishes to you and your family for a wonderful holiday season with your newly remodeled home. Please take care of yourself. Best of luck with the baby. Parenthood is a great and wonderful adventure.

I can;t remember if I mentioned this or not but when I read you are doing remodeling, I hope you are not in a house before mid 1970’s…one has to be really careful about lead dust especially when prego and with small children. I am sorry you are on bedrest but the end result is wonderful!

Allie, sorry to hear about the complication – try to get as much rest as you can. Lying on your left side was what I was advised to do & watch out for any signs of toxemia (excessive weight gain in a really short amount of time, head aches, pain in your shoulder, nausea etc). The good news is that you are almost done and even if the baby was born today, she would be full term!

Good luck & take care of yourself!

You’re going through almost exactly the same thing I went through.

My due date was January 8, 2000. Somewhere around December 6, 1999, my blood pressure was high and I was put on partial bed rest. I was told on December 20, 1999 that I would be induced on December 22, 1999. My bouncing baby boy was born on December 23, 1999.

I hope that your little one stays in as long as she needs to and hangs on until after the 22nd so you can put her in that onesie 😉

Take care of yourself and have a very happy and healthy holiday season!! I look forward to your return!

Hope the bedrest helps! Take care of you and that little one! Happy Holidays and best wishes for a quick and uncomplicated delivery…..AFTER Christmas!

Sorry to hear of the complication, but glad you are able to work from home and rest… I’ll cross my fingers for a birth date AFTER December 22, but before 2009… You want to capitalize on that adorable little tax deduction. All the best as you await the arrival of your little one!
