Super Casual Friday

021706 20013Today I had training, and the last time I went to this facility for training, there were people there in pyjama pants. When in Rome… well I just am not the type of woman to wear her sleeping garments in public, but this is the closest I get to casual. I call it Beach Casual Chic.

Green tee shirt from Old Navy (I adored this color so much I bought three of these shirts – i still have one unworn with the tags on. Not the best cut, but the color is divine). My beloved vintage wash lowrise bootcut jeans from The Gap. Red pointy flats from Bronx. Cream hooded belted cardigan from Express. Two coral glass necklaces from a beach boutique, wood and glass bead necklace from Claire's. Silver hoops and cuff bracelet.

Hair is straightened with the iron since I let it air-dry the night before. Touch of spray wax, but very little. It was doing the piecey look on it's own.

Makeup is L'Oreal True Match foundation, Chanel powder and concealer. Touch of Almay bronzer on the cheeks like blush. Bit of Clinique Snow shadow int he inner corners of the eyes, lashes curled and a layer of MAC X mascara. On the lips is The Body Shop's lip balm in passion fruit.

I am so glad you like it! I have heard a few people find it to make the skin itch the first hour in wearing it, but usually people have no reaction and it does cover without looking as though it covers. Enjoy, and thanks for letting me know! ūüôā

Dilly – So I thought I should give credit where credit is due… I splurged and finally bought the i.d. Bare Escenutals foundation (I’ve pretty much always stuck with drugstore make-up) based solely on your reccommendation and I am eccstatic with my purchase! Could not be happier, that stuff is amazing. It’s so light and natural, but surprisingly covers EVERYTHING I want to cover! My face looks and feels so much better without all that liquid foundation goop I used to cake on, I feel glowy and beautiful.

And here’s the kicker: my husband has even noticed the difference. He told me the other day, “I like that stuff you’re using, it seems more natural, and you never get that streak underneath your chin and jaw line that you used to get.” First, I was annoyed that he noticed the dreaded make-up line and never once told me I had it, but I got over that quickly and realized what a revelation it was to have my husband actually notice improvement from a beauty product that he, at first claimed was ridiculously expensive. (yea, I bought the $30 brush too).

So anyways (my god I’m long winded) thank you so much! I will be forever grateful for your wonderful reccomendation.
