August 011August 014Sorry guys, this has been a week lacking fashion creativity. I have had a lot going on, fighting bad allergies, in need of a hair cut, and battling PMS. I promise after a three-day weekend I will be back to myself!

So lookie here, the same darn outfit I wore on Tuesday. Well I didn't go to work on Tuesday, so I just figured it was clean, paired it with my brown croco peeptoe heels from BCBGirls and feel it gets the job done.

hair was washed and conditioned but still miserable. I tried to let it air dry but it was looking more Kip Winger than hip so I blew it straight. It was very flat and unhappy looking even though I used my regular Jonathan Silky Dirt. So here's my forehead. I used a little brown barrette to hold back my bangs that are now at an awkward length.

Makeup is L'Oreal True Match concealer in W4-5, Body Shop bronzing powder in Light over the whole face, a bit of Nars blush in Orgasm on apples of cheeks. On eyes is Revlon ColorStay shadow quad in Neutral Khakis – the olive shade on lids and along lower lash line. Lashes curled and two coats of Max Factor Lash Perfection in Black, line of Maybelline UltraLiner in black on top lash line, on lips is e.l.f. SPF 15 lip gloss in Watermelon.

how did I never realize you had a forehead as big as me… we’re tyra clones! 😛

HA! You said Kip Winger. Here’s my impression of Kip Winger’s stage performance….kick, spin, drop to knees, repeat…

Anyway, I’m having the same issue with my almost six-year-old’s bangs. She wants them grown out the same length as her long hair so we’re at an awkward stage right now. We’re doing the barrette one-inch from the forehead thing. It’s fine except for her baby hairs that are growing right in her peak into a point so it’s more Eddie Munster than cute first-grader.

Accordion headbands are really great, I also like the barrette at the top of the head like 1″ from the forehead.

Hee – I’ve got the same barrette for my bangs which are at that extremely annoying growing-out stage of being too long to just hang there, and too short to tuck behind my ear.

I’m growing out my bangs and growing my natural color out (as you recommended, using a temporary color to ease the transition).

I’ll be happy when this whole hair drama is over.

Any other tips for growing out bangs that are at that weird stage?
