Sunday evening after the Oscars my body decided to form a revolt and without being too gross, I ended up spending about 24 hours within a couple feet of the bathroom.  However as intensely as this bug/food poisoning/hell on earth arrived, it left and I had a sound night's sleep and woke feeling amazing.

Felt it was a day to rock my latest eBay score – this adorable jacket!  It was $25.99, and that's a pretty risky eBay purchase for me considering I had never tried this coat on in person.  However I know how LOFT fits, it was a 12 instead of a Large, and I figured I could get it altered if need be.  The coat came in pristine condition and fits great! Now I have a spring coat to replace my LOFT trench that ended up too large!

Oh oh oh, now I want a bright pink coat so badly!!!

I never used to be a fan of pink but after picking up a bright pink ponte blazer this (Australian) winter I’m enamoured. Today I’m wearing a black full skirt shift dress with pink & black spot tights, black shoes, a bright pink cardi over (it’s chilly and I don’t like going bare-armed in the office) topped with the bright pink blazer. Loving it 🙂 http://pinterest.com/pin/437552920017626793/

My go-to winter coats for years have been a single breasted beige trench (from Australian label David Lawrence) and a pale green single breasted pop collar coat. The trench gapes when done up over layers (which is the point of a coat…) and I really think it needs to go. I still love the green but am drawn to brights these days, especially in the grey and cold of a Canberra winter. I will now be on the lookout for a pop of pink to replace it… but maybe not until next year so I have time to find just the right one 🙂

I am in love with this outfit and want that dress in both colors!! I seem to wear the same size as you in just about everything — what size did you order in this dress?
