OMG how very cute !
She is so cute! Definitely her mommy’s little girl. Thanks for sharing with us!
Adorable.
What a cutie! 🙂
I love Emerson’s playful and uninhibited sense of style. I often wish growing up wouldn’t supress this feeling of complete confidence about being who you are and just put it out there as it is.
I also had a really hard time, going back and forth in my mind whether to comment or not, but in the end I opted for honesty and I’m just going to say it: In the photo it looks as though Emerson isn’t wearing any socks and very thin ballet flats. Since it’s the end of November it struck me as bit odd and somehow insuficient. I hope that her sense of style doesn’t take precedence over health and safety. That said I’m also hoping you’d do a post on weather appropriate dressing (for all ages) since media and glamorus high fashion has exposed us to unrealistic fashion choices like strappy sandals in December (think of SJP and Sex and the City) or high heels on youngsters (most notably Suri Cruise a couple of years ago). Thanks!
These photos were taken in our front yard, just a few feet from the front door. She decided last minute to join us and switched out of her slippers to the first shoes she found proper for going outside. She was outside about 7 minutes in total. I hope you know I don’t believe sense of style doesn’t take precedence over health and safety.
And I have done posts on weather appropriate dressing recently (flat shoes with socks) and in the past. I have also written about strappy sandals in December (SJP and others can do as they wish, but 99% of the time such shoes are worn from cab to cocktails, not walking down a city street in the snow), and have also written about children in heels.
Love her self confidence! She is adorable.
She’s beautiful! Love her confidence! She will take the world by storm!
It’s from Old Navy and on sale for $20, also comes in leopard print. I love that it’s not super short but it’s super fluffy http://api.shopstyle.com/action/apiVisitRetailer?id=436028682&pid=uid900-225470-19&utm_medium=widget&utm_source=Product+Link
My kid will totally want that skirt! Can you link?

Allie,
It will be very interesting to what career path she follows. Right now it seems like she’ll be running a fashion magazine when she’s 16. On the other hand, she could go in an entirely different direction and end up being a bridge engineer, an airline pilot, or a brain surgeon!
What a fascinating person she’s turning out to be.
Chris
This morning she was watching some kid TV show and they asked, “and what do YOU want to be when you grow up?” and she told the TV, “a doctor so I can help people.” Sounds good to me!
Allie,
It would not at all surprise me if she becomes a doctor. I know she will be the best dressed Dr ever, and there is nothing wrong with that!
Chris
Totally adorable!
