Welcome to the December edition of What I Wore Off the Blog! Looks that didn’t end up in an actual outfit post, maybe ended up on Instagram in a Story or in the feed, and better showcase what I wear on a daily basis and how I re-wear the same things over and over, what…
Today was an early morning so the pictures are meh, the makeup is meh, the outfit and makeup are pretty basic. My shoes were downstairs – I didn’t want to put them on upstairs and possibly wake my husband (poor guy was still asleep when I took this pic – you can even see Ruckus still…
So I had to wake up at the crack of dawn to get my Mom to the airport – she is going to her high school reunion in New England and then a short trip with high school girlfriends afterwards. Woke up around… 4am? I am an early riser but not THAT early so I…
Welcome to what I really wore, Tuesday edition. I wore this denim on denim outfit last Tuesday when we took our car in for an estimate for body damage. The Thursday prior, we were parked in a lot and another parked car rolled into ours. Unfortunately it did more than a little scrape. Fortunately, the…

Got many compliments from coworkers and even strangers on the ensemble. It’s funny, I…
I had to get to work VERY early so these pictures are in the dark… also my mom took the full-length one and she is great with a SLR but terrible with a point and shoot… So I am wearing my black jersey wrap dress from Talbots and black patent T-straps from Sofft. My jewelery is…
Cute outfit! Love the coat! I recently discovered all the great plus sizes at Macy’s, didn’t know they even had Tommy (& City Chic). In fact, I own those jeans in black and in medium wash denim.
Great minds! 🙂 Yes, I have been sleeping on Macy’s… no more!
I’ve loved your blog for years and have bought several of my favorite items within minutes of seeing them on the blog even though we are different sizes/shapes/styles (EVA birkenstocks, smart wool invisible socks, resusable cotton rounds & other things I’m not remembering right now.) The quality of the posts & photos since you’ve gone full time is so much higher — and I didn’t think the blog could get better. I hope you’re feeling really good about the decision.
Oh wow thank you so much Jennifer! I shared your comment with Karl, it’s awesome how we can really work together on these shoots to best reflect my style, his talent, and the clothes!
Such a smart and sophisticated look, Alison!!!
I absolutely adore that you added some print mixing with the scarf!!

Thanks Jodie!
Beautiful coat! And as a longtime reader, excited to hear you are focusing on the blog full-time. I really hope to see a more frequent cadence of articles dedicated to reader questions, wardrobe capsules, how to wear X trend, what to wear, etc.
Yes! Right now I am trying to dial in this new normal but that is definitely on the list for 2018! 🙂
Flattering with a capital F!!!!!!
Thanks so much Melissa!
Alison,
The entire outfit is lovely but I’m particularly fascinated by the shoes. Can you tell me a bit more about them?
I have aspirations of some day finding comfortable heels that will fit my rather wide rectangular “Fred Flinstone”-shaped feet.
Cute on how many gals live with you! I’m probably closer to this one than others…but I would of never thought of the bandana. This is why I need you to nudge me into your world a bit!

That is the very reason I too love blogs – they have me see things slightly differently and get new ideas! Two heads are always better than one, even if one of the heads is virtual!
