Pumpkin merino scoopneck sweater from Marshall’s (’07)(do not recall the brand), dark denim skirt from Gap (’06), tan Bern boots from Duo (’07), silver cuff (’97) and hoops (’07). Though not pictured, most of the day I also wore my avocado pashmina around my neck. Hair was second day, I brushed it out, put some…
I took a break from the blog over the winter holidays and ended up not capturing some of the great outfits I wore for holiday parties. I wore this dress Christmas Eve and love how it looks so dressy but is so easy and comfortable to wear. Like everything else I have from Dobbin Clothing,…
This past weekend was the Greenbelt Pumpkin Festival, an event the whole community looks forward to every year. It starts Friday afternoon after school in the town center. Shlagel Farms donates hundreds of pumpkins and the city sets up picnic tables and a stage. For the first hour it’s set up for little kids with…
Dress: MICHAEL Michael Kors | Tights: Spanx | Boots: Ros Hommerson ‘Maryland’ | Bracelet: Rebecca Minkoff (similar) | Bag: Talbots (similar) | Sunglasses: Ray-Ban Come fall and winter, I love dresses like this. I have a leopard print dress also from MICHAEL Michael Kors (seen here and here) and find I reach for printed long-sleeved…
I am okay. Thank you all for your concern, you all are so wonderful! My boss yesterday suggested I leave work early because I had to get in early today. I am glad I didn’t. By time I got to the Metro (I do ride the Red line of the Metro for part of my…
Teal knit kimono dress from Target, pale aqua ribbed tank from Caslon underneath. Teal suede wedges from Seychelles. Silver, green and aqua earrings from Express. Hair was washed, conditioned, then a bit of Sebastian Mud applied to it wet. Blown dry while twisting sections and a bit of scrunching. Blew the bangs straight. Then took…
That dress is beautiful, flattering, and you just glow in it! I love those dramatic colors as well as the dramatic hi-low style.
Thank you!
You look amazing!! This dress is so beautiful…are you going to part with it?!?
I am. It’s utterly gorgeous but I know it’s not one I’d wear so many times I can just justify the cost.
I think what I like most about this dress is that you seem to be really enjoying it! It’s really very cute on you.
Thank you so much!
Such a pretty outfit! I’m wearing my first high/low dress to a wedding in August and a bit nervous that it’s a bit young for 57YO me. But I really like the way it looks on me, which is rare with dresses recently! It is the “Pleione ruffled high/low shift dress” in red saucy, which I got at the anniversary sale. Got it in black, too, and tempted to keep both.
That is a really lovely dress!
I use that disk to keep my bra straps from showing!!! I always have to have my husband put it on for me though…..do you have a way to do it yourself??
XOXO

Good question. I have a hard time with these, too….
Either Karl does it, or I put on my bra backwards, get the straps through the disc, slide it around and shimmy into place. Option 1 is far preferred! 🙂
What a stunning dress! I think the top is very flattering, and I love how you styled it. I’ll say it again — Gwynnnie Bee — come to Canada!
That would be great if they did!
