I rarely look to celebrities for everyday style, but I think Gwen Stefani has pretty awesome day-to-day fashion, and fashion I think many women can replicate. She masters the rock-&-roll mom look with a primarily black wardrobe, tough leather accents and killer accessories like sunglasses and scarves. This week I saw a picture of Gwen Stefani wearing this very scarf from Nepali by TDM Design so I was inspired to style it again and pretend to be Gwen's twin.  The scarf was perfect on this super cold and blustery morning, so cold I almost didn't do outfit photos because I had no desire to take off my coat and gloves!

And this jacket? Yeah, I totally didn't need it. In fact, I am trying to go as long as I can without buying any new clothing but come ON! It's a biker jacket, it's silver, it's stretchy, and it's utterly fabulous. It's lightweight and a fabric kind of like scuba or ponte but the texture on the outside almost looks like coated denim. I also tried it with a black dress and loved the contrast. So I splurged… but knowing my style I think this new jacket is going to get a TON of wear!

  1. Love this outfit, and I totally get what you mean about Gwen Stefani. She has great style – and I can definitely see the inspiration in this outfit!

  2. I love the pairing of the striped shirt with the patterned scarf — I need to try mixing patterns more often. You’re an inspiration! 🙂

  3. Cliche alert “I don’t usually comment but have been following your blog for quite a while!” but had to comment – I have a love/hate view of your pictures (I’m rather boring in my tastes so some of your looks are quite shocking to me lol) but I absolutely love this, you look amazing 😀

  4. I’m loving the entire outfit … you are def rockin’ it, and dare I say in the “who wore it best” contest, you win hands down (sorry, Gwen). That jacket looks amazing. Great find.

  5. You look fantastic. And when you see an item that just reaches out to you, you know that it will be worn often and with style. I’m trying to shop my closet this year, too. But I will succumb if something as great as your jacket reaches out to me.

  6. Love this jacket and definitely going to work with your style and offer a lot of versatility, thus justifying the splurge!!!
