Picture 0012Picture 0031Happy birthday to me! Of course I woke up to the lovely monthly occurrence and also the cold my husband had last week. No worries, it's a sunny day and I had a relaxing weekend. However I am going to dress in the work-appropriate version of pajamas.

Black merino shift from Banana Republic, black heavy tights from Target with the feet cut off, black flats from Naturalizer, silver necklaces from H&M, diamond studs from Diamond Nexus Labs. At work I left on my orange crinkle scarf from Banana Republic because I was cold.

Hair was washed and conditioned, a bit of Got2B curling mousse added while damp and dried with a diffuser. Hit the super frizzy parts with a curling iron.

Makeup is Smashbox Photo Finish primer, L'Oreal True Match concealer in W1-3, philosophy The Supernatural in Beige, Cargo Matte BeachBlush in Tenerife, Revlon ColorStay shadow quad in Neutral Khakis – ivory in inner corners, khaki on lid, chocolate in crease and along lash lines. Lashes curled, coat of Cover Girl Lash Blast in black with Imju Fiberwig over it. Victoria's Secret Beauty Rush lipgloss in Strawberry Fizz and a dusting of Smashbox Soft Lights in Tint on cheekbones.

Busy day at work, but plan to have a nice romantic dinner with my husband this evening!

  1. Very Happy Belated Birthday, Allie! By the way, my girlfriend calls the saggy crotch hose you are describing as “Yogi Bear’s”. (You know, his short legs and all)! 🙂

  2. they are super thick, almost more like leggings so they didn’t run or anything when cut off. They were so thick, they didn’t stretch much and by lunchtime with the feet still attached I would be wearing thigh-highs. 🙂 They needed to be donated or cut… cut they get far more wear!

  3. Happy (one day late) Birthday! Thanks so much for your wonderful blog…you have inspired me to be more of a fashion diva! Love your product reviews, so I’m also looking forward to your Birthday Product List.

  4. Happy Birthday one day late Allie! I loved your Saturday Evening Post…sounds like a great night! I own Mulholland Drive and have watched it many times as well…I still think WTF every time I see it!
