  1. Thanks Alison. I was applying too little or too much all at once. Following this made the difference:
    “Small amount, build up . . ”
When I apply too much at once, the result just looks dirty.

    Thanks again!

  2. When it comes to bronzer, I feel it’s all about the brush. I have a bronzing brush by Sephora that is soft, big and compact so I sort of buff the bronzer into the skin, reducing the ruddy look or dark spots.

I have been using the one by The Body Shop because well… I got it 25% off because I work for them as an At Home Consultant and I wanted to let my customers know how it works. I like it because it’s not shimmery and not too dark, but last summer I had one by Physician’s Formula that was mulstiple colors with minimal shimmer and I felt it looked less… flat and dirty and more natural. I use the Smashbox Soft Lights to acheive a similar look.

Small amount, build up, big super soft and fluffy brush that puts it on light and even, and don’t forget your neck and collarbone – sun hits there too!

  3. Alison,
Love this black dress AND the one yesterday – 2 different looks and both rockin’

One would never know the dust, dirt and extreme sun you endured – you’ve got a beautiful and refreshed glow.

Speaking of glow – would you give a few quick pointers on bronzer? I picked up a Chanel compact and have been experimenting with it. Some days I like it on me, other days – not so much.

    Thanks,
    Ava (aka Jean)
