Step 1: Get Real

The first step toward achieving a polished look is destroy that mental picture of Audrey Hepburn or Olivia Pope.

But that doesn't mean you can't look polished...

Step 1: Get Real

The most stylish thing a person can wear is confidence, and confidence is impossible when you are working to be someone else.

Let's create a look that celebrates your unique self.

Step 2: Gather Data

For at least a week, keep a style journal. Each day, note what you wore (and what condition it was in), how you styled your face and hair, and what events took place during the day.

Step 2: Gather Data

Note comments or compliments you receive.  Also note how you felt when you looked in the mirror before leaving that day and when you returned in the evening.

Step 3: Quality not Quantity

If you wear what you  don’t love  & does not love you, you won't look polished. Style comes from quality not quantity.   Donate what is uncomfortable & save for worthy replacements.

How do your garments wear through the day? What colors, cuts, and fabrics make you feel good?  These notes help you find what makes you look polished on your terms.

Step 3: Quality not Quantity

We can mistake feeling good for feeling safe.   Clothes should make you feel like the best you.  You are important,  your  wardrobe  should  reflect that.

Step 3: Quality not Quantity

Step 4: Take Good Care of Yourself & Your Wardrobe

A polished woman does not have snags, stains, or wrinkles.  You spend hard-earned money on your wardrobe, it deserves to be cared for.

Step 4: Take Good Care of Your Wardrobe

Polish comes not from what you own but how you wear & care for it. Can't care for high-maintenance clothes? Don't buy them.  Shop for you for true style.
