The TOP denim trends for grown women

Remember how straight legs switched to bootcut and we were so relieved to have a silhouette that worked better with a curvy frame and a chunky shoe?

I bet the majority of us in 2007 who said you couldn’t catch us dead in a pair of skinny jeans now has at least one pair in our wardrobe.

while the skinny jean is still stylish there are three hot denim trends this year.  they're wearable and will be stylish into next year (and the year after!)

1

baggy jeans

Call them relaxed, dad jeans, mom jeans, barrel jeans, or skater jeans but this year, jeans are comfy again and a bit exaggerated.

1

baggy jeans

The baggy jean needs a top tucked in (unless you’re down with a cropped top). Style with a chunkier shoe: Doc Martens, lug sole loafers, and sneakers are great choices.

2

Bootcut

Bootcut is back, but with a mid- to high-rise and just a slight kick out at the hem. Choose a heavier denim for structure and a classic wash.

2

Bootcut

Bootcut jeans offer the perfect amount of volume to balance the lug sole loafers and boots that are popular this season.

3

Straight cut

This is the denim trend for 2021 that is most possible to wear if you kept your old pairs of jeans.  The look is slim and hits the waist or even higher, can be a zip or button fly.

3

Straight cut

It's worth taking them to get tailored for the right fit and length. Straight jeans this season are longer and cover the ankle; pair with trendy sneakers or loafers.

are skinny jeans out of style??

You can still rock your skinny jeans with confidence! However, you may find the newer cuts of tops and shoes would work better with one of these three denim trends.

are skinny jeans out of style??

There is no need to embrace any trend.  EVER. The most stylish people in the world aren’t trendy. They wear what they want and wear it proudly.

GenZ can tease about our jeans, we did it at their age.  Remember how we joked about mom jeans? Now they're trendy!  You do you. The way to make it stylish, is to own it. But fear something new!
