Picture 0013Picture 006Cold but sunny, and had to take a long lunch for my uncle's funeral at Arlington Cemetary (he passed a couple of months ago). So needed something nicer looking, work-appropriate, layers for warmth during an outside ceremony and shoes that could handle lots of walking.

Purple merino dress from Goodwill, brown suede slouch boots from Silhouettes, green pashmina from Nordstrom, silver cuff.

Hair is second day; blew all straight with my round brush (luggage arrived by time I got home and in perfect condition!).

Makeup is L'Oreal True Match foundation in C3 as concealer, philosophy The Supernatural in Beige, Nars blush in Orgasm, Body Shop eyecolor in Fawn on lid and along lower lash line, Cover Girl LashBlast in black on curled lashes and a layer of Imju Fiberwig over it. On lips is Revlon Super Lustrous Lip Gloss in Pink Afterglow.

The ceremony was very beautiful and moving; my uncle would have loved it. It was a nice sunny day so I was able to test drive my new sunglasses.

  1. I was going to comment on how I love the purple and green together, then I saw this was for a funeral (still cute though). My condolences to you & your family. I lived in Arlington many many years ago and remember how huge the cemetary was. What an honor to have a service there.

  2. To be buried in Arlington, my cousin wanted to find her dad’s Purple Heart so he would be recognized not just for his military service, but that as well. Took a bit of searching and researching but she found it 🙂
