August 0092August 010Black cashmere tank from Banana Republic, white cotton safari jacket from Gap, black “Drew” trousers from The Limited, silver and leather necklace from Chico's, silver cuff bracelet and silver hoops, black leather thong heels from Mossimo.

Hair is third day, brushed out, a tee-shirt's neck band as a headband, hair, slightly backcombed in back and held in place with Matrix Sleek hairspray.

Makeup is L'Oreal Bare Naturale mineral foundation in True Beige, Nars blush in Orgasm, Pop Beauty shadow set for brown eyes – the light beige shade over lids. Max Factor Lash Perfection in black, Maybelline UltraLiner in black on top lash line, on lips is Revlon Super Lustrous Lip Gloss in Glossy Rose.

I fully believe in shopping your own closet before heading to a mall. I completely forgot I owned this jacket and found it in the far back. As for the tank, it's in my sweater drawer but I often forget about it as a good shell for work outfits! Yay!

  1. it always amazes me when you’re hair is 3rd day and looks great. Even 2nd day. I remember back in the day when I was rocking out to Poison and Great White when I could do 2nd day hair and it would look even better (and bigger which was ALWAYS better, right?) than the day before but anymore mine looks more frizzy and greasy the 2nd day. Don’t even get me started on the rare 3rd day without a wash! Lucky girl!

  2. Woah, I do look very Chico’s today, and it’s not just the necklace. Leaving the house I even thought my mom would like this outfit. The plan was to wear it with the city shorts, but they were dirty. It’s funny, I think this outfit is not as much me as many others, and then I get all these compliments form coworkers. Don’t get it.

But I did get a compliment from a gum-smacking teen in Subway yesterday when getting my lunch. I was very happy – the best are compliments from strangers and overly-picky teen ones at that!

  3. You look great today! But is it bad that after reading your post my first thought was, “is it a Chico’s kind of day?”.

Seriously though, they do have some great accessories.

    Great blog!
