I'm not a cotton candy pink kind of gal… that is until this spring.  For some reason the color has really grown on me so when I saw this blazer at Nordstrom I had to get it.  If you get my newsletter (and you should, only once a month and completely different content from here at the blog), you'll know I've been wearing it a lot.  I wore this combination last week to the office on Casual Friday.  These jeans from Jag are pretty fabulous.  In a world of skinny jeans and extreme flares, the bootcut leg of these are a refreshing and figure flattering change.  Like a previous pair of Jag Jeans that I featured, these have the pull-on waistband that keeps things nice and smooth under fitted knits (and no muffin top!) and are thick and opaque.

I must confess that looking at these photos my heart skipped a beat because I saw the car headlights behind you and was worried for your safety lol

  2. I have been on a blush kick lately and bought a blazer similar to yours and wearing it non stop too. It goes with so many colors. Love this look on you!

  3. *gasp* What a stunning ensemble! Sending you warm wishes & either very effective pain meds or little pain!

  4. I’m so very tempted by those sandals! I love a wedge heel, and I LOVE cork. LOVE. Are they worth a look/buy?

  5. I hear you on not being as comfortable in color. I am happiest in shades of black and grey – but I just bought a shirt in that exact shade of pink and I am totally going to style it with white jeans and nude shoes. Thanks for the inspiration. You look awesome!

  6. I love the pink/gray/white color combination and it looks great on you. I think gray with that shade of pink is much more flattering to most people than black and pink. I’m not much into pink either, but that blush shade and brownish pink really appeal to me right now.

  7. Agree with other commenters, you look radiant in these photos – not sure if its the colors you’re wearing or just you! I have been thinking about white jeans a lot, but i can’t get past the dirt factor (though I wear light khakis so maybe i’m crazy). But how do you have a small child and wear white jeans??? I have two boys and can’t fathom a pair making it through a day without me sitting on something, or them running up with grubby hands, or whatnot. Do you just bleach the beejeezus out of them every time?

    1. I wonder if its radiant or relieved or high on cleaning fumes! I took these photos Monday evening and all day we spent cleaning up sewage that backed into our home. Took the longest hottest shower ever and felt revived enough to get in an outfit shot before being in bandages for a couple weeks 🙂 As for white, it isnt that different from light khaki, cream, or gray. I carry a Tide to Go pen on me, I treat spots with a mix of Dawn and peroxide, and do a white-only wash which keeps them from dulling over time. Line dry to get the bleaching power of the sun and the occasional load with oxygen bleach. A classic bleach wash before every season to revive them but no more or they turn yellow and the lycra breaks down.

    1. It’s fun to break away from black, but it doesn’t feel as comfortable for me and my personality. But a pop of color and light every so often does give balance and add light to the closet! I’m really digging this pale blush pink shade!

  8. Love the outfit! I was wondering when I saw this if you could talk about hem length. What is the appropriate hem for different shoes? Thanks!

    1. Good question. I actually have these jeans in regular as well as petite (seen here). The plan was petite with flatter shoes, regular with heels like these but the regular are a bit too long and I haven’t been able to get to the cleaners to have them shortened. Lately with ankle pants being the rage hemlines aren’t so black and white and it’s more about what flatters your figure. Looking at these photos, I think I’d be better with another inch of fabric to elongate the leg and have less foot showing; if I had long legs I think an inch being taken off would be flattering and get that ankle jean look. With the return of bootcut and flare leg openings, a bit of length balances the extra width while skinnier legs look better shorter.
