Let's get real, when winter comes just the idea of a sliver of exposed ankle can make one shiver.  I'm all about warm, lightweight, and often invisible layers.  Here, I have this thick cozy cardigan over a cashmere crewneck, which is over a Lands' End Thermaskin crew (on sale).  On the bottom, I have Thermaskin leggings (also on sale) and wool socks under these booties and jeggings.  No coat and accessories for the shoot, but you can bet I ran to the car afterwards to put on my pashmina, beanie, gloves, and puffer coat.  What's funny is while these pictures were taken on a cold day, I write up this post in short sleeves.  Emerson just asked me for the temperature for her weather homework assignment and my phone said it's 69 outside.  This winter's weather is so unpredictable!

But this is why I love Gwynnie Bee; while I bundled up in this fab cardigan which is like a streetwear slanket, today to work I wore a sleeveless dress that came in my same box, styled with a cardigan and tall heeled boots.  I don't have to keep out all seasons of clothes or buy a bunch of new things to be prepared for whatever Mother Nature throws our way.  If you're interested in Gwynnie Bee, use this link to try the program out free for 30 days.  I've been a member for over four years and it just keeps getting better with selection, style, and sizes!

This lipstick I've worn on the blog before and continue to love.  It's an extremely wearable plum color that looks great with so many different skintones and isn't too vampy for the office.  Feels great on the lips, survives the morning coffee, moisturizing, and ethically made.  All that and 50% of all purchases of this lipstick color go to Lady Parts Justice.

If you follow me on Instagram you know I got this leather bucket bag from Dagne Dover at the end of 2016 and have been using it constantly.  This bag is smartly designed just like all their other bags.  From luxe leather, this bucket has snaps at the opening so you can expand.  There's a divider in the middle with pockets, a cord to corral keys, and an adjustable length strap.  While none of the photos show it on my shoulder, it fits quite comfortably.  And for those wondering, it is not heavy.  I'm so excited by the new styles, fabrics, and innovation happening at Dagne Dover right now. Thanks to reader Missy for introducing me to this brand!
