D 120306 067And for those who have asked, here is a picture of my trusty silver cuff bracelet. I bought it in 1997 at Hecht's department store after my interview with Express. I knew it went well and treated myself to it; sterling silver was on sale that day and the cuff was only $35.

Okay, back to today's outfit. So I washed and conditioned the hair with L'Oreal Professionals Kiwi Coloreflector line, then a bit of Sexy Straight Hair's Shine On! and Nexxus Texxtur combined, then dried straight with a round brush. A bit of Jonathan Dirt for texture (almost wrote texxtur, thank Nexxus for making me forget how to spell!). parted on the opposite side.

Makeup is L'Oreal True Match foundation in C3, concealer in W4-5, Chanel pressed powder in Natural, Smashbox Soft Lights in Tint. Eyes are done with Body Shop's shadow in Slate on the lid and Soft Black on the crease and along both lash lines. The Full Definition version of L'Oreal's Voluminous mascara, in black.

On lips is L'Oreal's Color Juice Stick in Strawberry Fields. Another random purchase at the grocery, and I really like it! It has a slight smell of strawberries, the color is very sheer, it feels really good and moisturizing on the lips and though it looks like a lipstick in the tube, it has the shine of a nice lipgloss but a feel on the lips more like a balm. The color is more shimmery than I expected, but not too much for daytime.

  1. Looking at the Nordstrom site, they are called “Henri” and do have a 3.5″ heel. I almost didn’t buy them because they are such a high heel, but I walk well in heels and I find the round toe to be roomy and comfortable. My feet do hurt after a while of walking and standing, but I find them just as comfortable as any of my other pumps with slightly lower heels (I think most hoes I own have 3″ heels).

  2. Whee, the shoes! Thank you. Off the top of your head, do you know the name of them? I think dear old Jessica names all her shoes after women. I’m becoming a little obsessed with getting a pair for myself – you seem to wear yours often and they always go so well with what you have on. Are they comfortable? The heel looks enormously tall. Thanks again!

  3. Thanks for the picture of the cuff! I had been wanting to see it up close. Any chance you might post a pic of your Jessica Simpson pumps? Thank you for your blog, I really enjoy it. Your list of what every woman needs in her closet has been really helpful to me.
