2026 Gift Guide for a 14-Year-Old Girl (by my teenage daughter)
Raise your hand if you've been presented a PowerPoint or Google Slides presentation by your teen in an attempt to get something they really want. A phone, a gaming console, a special event with friends, the list goes on. Well, my 14-year-old created a gift guide and presented it to us parents to give us an idea of what she may want as a Christmas gift, a birthday present, or what she'd buy herself when she gets a job. I felt it was a good insight into what she, as a 14-year-old girl, would like and may help others shopping for gifts for a teenager with similar interests.
Shopping for teen girls can be a daunting task. They're at that age where you can either guess on a product and get lucky enough to surprise them with the perfect gift, or you miss the mark completely and they have to pretend to be excited so they don't hurt your feelings.
In that case, I figured there was no better expert to craft a gift guide for a 14-year-old girl than the 14-year-old who lives with me. So, I took some of the items from the gift guide she made for her family and crafted the list below. And for 2026, I consulted with my daughter and a few of her friends to see what would be a great gift for this year.

2026 Gift Guide for a 14-Year-Old Girl (by my teenage daughter)
I don't expect all 9th-grade girls or 14-year-olds to have the same taste as my daughter. She is a fan of pink, bows, beauty products, music, video games, and comfy, unrestrictive fashion. This is her wish list, not things I will necessarily purchase for her. But, if you are shopping for someone who is a similar age and has a similar aesthetic, I hope this gift guide provides a substantial amount of gift ideas to steer you in the right direction.
Your teen's phone is where she can show her personality. Let her do that and be practical with a Velvet Caviar MagSafe bundle. Matching case, grip ring, mount, wallet, battery and phone charm in cool prints and colors and from quality I personally trust and use myself. Code ALISON10 gets you 10% off.
I guess I should be honored; I have a larger version of this makeup mirror and my teenager wants the smaller 9-bulb version of the same! It is a great mirror; it angles, it's heavyweight and sturdy, has different levels of light brightness and color modes. I've owned mine for several years and it has done me well, so I feel confident purchasing the smaller version for my daughter.
Glossier is THE cool girl beauty line, and it's perfect for 14-year-olds because it isn't heavy on color. This gift set offers a choice of Glossier's iconic Balm Dotcom lip balm with a very cool mug great for drinks or to hold her pens or makeup brushes.
I have shopped ana luisa for my teen before and found the quality great (earrings are years old and still going strong, not green or tarnished or chipped). My daughter loves these mismatched sparkly "huggie" hoops. I know the small "huggie", in general, is popular with her and her friends and great for those who have multiple piercings.
Talk about a blast from the past! I remember playing with Calico Critters as a child. Well thanks to a popular TikTok/Instagram account that features them, they are back in style and teen girls love them. Impress the 14-year-old in your life and enjoy a bit of nostalgia with a Calico Critters keychain she can hang on her backpack.
Made from 100% natural soy wax, this cute candle has key notes of pineapple, mango, orange, peach, coconut milk, and sugar. With a glitter finish and a ego-pumping message on the front, this would also be a great gift to give a friend or have your teen give as a gift to one of her classmates.
14-year-old girls LOVE oversized t-shirts. Worn with sweatpants, cutoff shorts, leggings, and jeans, go up two sizes from their clothing size or buy what are called graphic t-shirt dresses, like I have here. The vintage concept is hot; bands and musical artists from the 90s and 2000s are most popular, and if they look as though they've been through decades of life, even better. This is a gift you can find at Target, the thrift store, but if you're not sure what band or style, you can't go wrong with one of the offerings at Urban Outfitters.
You can't go wrong with anything from lululemon, and the brand has several different types of card pouches and keyrings that your teen will love to use in place of a wallet or just have hang from her backpack. But this one is a safe bet, comes in a bunch of colors, and is a great way to jazz up a gift card present!
Jellycat plushies are a THING, and my 14-year-old positively loves them to put on her bed, but also to hang from her backpack. If you're looking for a gift under $50 that is sure to please, you can't go wrong with the Amuseables Peach Plushie Bag Charm from Jellycat.
I thought it was only me who had L'ange following them around the internet with their ads. I guess they also have a chokehold on the teenage demographic, because my 14-year-old desperately wanted it. Twirl your way to consistent, natural-looking curls and waves with the user-friendly, time-saving Le Pirouette from L'ange. Its digital display, 5 heat settings (260-410°F), mini clamp to hold hair in place, and spinning titanium barrel all combine to take the guesswork out of styling. Go with 1" for smaller curls or hair above the shoulders and the larger barrel for longer hair or looser curls.
Press-on nails have come a long way, baby. With so many hacks on social media to keep these nails on longer, this is a budget-friendly way to get your teen's desire for soft gel, powder dip, or acrylic nails from the salon for less. I've found a really great selection on Amazon, better than a lot of other retailers, and the price is so nice this can be a great stocking stuffer or a gift along with quality nail glue, or gel nail products (a hack is to put gel polish under the nail and cure it with an LED light).
Owalas are the hottest cups on the market, which makes them the perfect gift for your teen. Not only do they come in fun designs, patterns, and colors, they're also resuable so you're skipping out on the overuse of plastics at the same time. They're easy to drink from, triple-layered to keep drinks cool, leakproof, and cup holder friendly (which is a steal deal when there's all of these other massive cups on the market that won't fit in cup holders)!
Miffy is a fictional rabbit appearing in a series of picture books drawn and written by Dutch artist Dick Bruna and for some reason, American teen girls love it. This cosmetics pouch is clear so will work with any clear backpack rules in cities, is easy to clean, and will be great for makeup, travel, or just holding her pens and pencils.
Kendra Scott may not be as raved about as it once was, but that doesn't take away from their long-standing reputation of having high-quality products that provide great gifts for teens. The price point may be a bit higher than a typical bracelet you'd consider purchasing for your 14-year-old, but it's an accessory that they can keep far into adulthood. I also know that with Y2K styles coming back, stacked bracelets are making an appearance again, and this bracelet would be the perfect introduction to a stylish stacked bracelet set.
The BaubleBar Mini Block Font Custom Hair Brush is the perfect on-the-go accessory. Its petite size and durable finish make it ideal for throwing in a purse, carry-on, beach bag, or car. Add a name, initials, or a favorite phrase.
Being 14 years old means being at the height of wanting to decorate and customize your room to it's full extent, and what better way to do that than with a customizable neon sign? It's a fun and unique way for your teen to personalize their room with their name or an inspiring saying with their favorite color, a fancy font, and even a versatile shape. And with this specific item, you can even customize the size so it can either act as a focal piece in the room, or it can be a small accessory to compliment other decor.
If your tween or teen is a beauty lover, she will go gaga over a bottle of this setting spray from ONE/SIZE, the makeup brand from influencer Patrick Starr. It's popular, the packaging is pretty, but this stuff works so well, you may want to pick up a bottle for yourself. Available in three sizes, this can be a stocking stuffer or the hero gift.
This is by far the weirdest item on this gift guide. I don't get them, but then think how many things we were into at this age that our parents didn't understand. These are small naked boy dolls with random things on their heads. Girls find them positively adorable. They sell out as soon as they get in stock at stores like Urban Outfitters and are so popular they're stored behind glass. You can find them at the Sonny Angel online store, but luckily Amazon now carries a few of them.
Hello Kitty is still hot, especially with the young teen set. And Pixi is a fantastic beauty brand for tweens and teens (and adults - I too am a fan!). Give lips a sheer, hydrating glow with the Hello Kitty tinted gloss. The vegan formula is enriched with Rosehip Oil and Mango Seed Butter to smooth, nourish and soften with a non-sticky finish. Wear solo or layered--perfectly playful and purse-ready.
While the Tazz from UGG is considered a slipper, it is an extremely popular shoe worn to high school. Cozy and comfortable, you'll get cool adult points for scoring a pair of these for your teen.
Camp Snap is the screen-free digital camera that’s gone viral for a reason, especially with teens. Designed to help capture the moment without missing it, Camp Snap gives you the nostalgic joy of film-style photography—minus the film and waste. With its durable build, rechargeable battery, and included SD memory card that stores up to 2,000 photos, it’s ready for every adventure. A dozen different colors to choose from.

From the parent of a former 14 year old girl – it’s uncanny how this almost mirrors the one we received then! Good stuff! And I bet there will be some repeat performers this year.
