This is the pricetag from the jacket that I am wearing. Last night after work I stopped by the Ann Taylor on Conneticut Avenue – all Ann Taylors were having 40% off the entire store and I had to check out the collection. I went straight to the sale rack and found this jacket.  Um yeah… it was $39.88 and THEN an additional 40% off that price!  It's a bit big on me, but gosh for that price I couldn't pass it up!

I also got a black merino turtleneck that ended up being about $30, and an “emerald” and “diamond” cocktail ring that cost be a big whopping $12.  Major win!

Anyhoo, I was totally imagining this jacket with my Lands End sailor tee, but the neck was too high and the fabric too heavy.  Yesterday's striped tee would have been perfect but it's black, not navy.  This navy on navy isn't very exciting but it works when in a rush in the AM.  I think it looks far better in person – the boxyness is cute and it's not stiff, it drapes nicely (75% wool, 25% nylon).

So what are your plans this weekend?  I feel wrong in saying this but I don't believe I have any steadfast plans!  My husband is going to the Caps game tonight so I will be home chillin' with my homegirl Emerson.  Looking forward to a quiet night – catch up on some TV on the DVR that I adore and hubby does not (like Tabatha's Salon Takeover – love that woman!) and hopefully finishing up my next article for Savings.com which will go live on Monday!
