Dress -Ross (don't know brand but do know it was only $14.99)

Yesterday I had the day off work.  I started the day in a black merino turtle from Ann Taylor, dark narrow jeans from NYDJ, my DUO boots above, and a long brushed gold chain with a pendant.  Wore that for my morning activities and when I headed to Ross just to roam around.

I found this dress, and another summer dress.  This dress has a wide scoop neck, short puffed sleeves, a tie at the neckline, smocked waist, and tiered skirt.  It's going to be a great summer dress with brown leather wedge sandals.  I love that it has sleeves so it will be great for a walk to the farmer's market, but could also be worn for work.  I got home and immediately changed into this summery dress, pretending that it wasn't cold and gray and rainy outside.  I soon had to put a sweater over it, and also slipped on my boots to keep my tootsies warm.

Next thing I knew it was 5:45pm and I had to get ready for Weight Watchers.  I really didn't want to change out of the dress, so I decided to go country and tie a shirt over it.  Chambray or denim would have been best, but the closest I had was my Lands End Canvas Heritage Oxford.  Not my finest sartorial hour, but it got me out of the door and to my meeting on time!

By the way, some great brands right now at Ross.  The black dress I wore on Tuesday I saw there for only $29.99! Plenty of Muse, Eliza J, Calvin Klein, and London Times.  However none my size or style, and I only went home with dresses that really shouldn't be worn for another few months (and a baking dish for $4 – score!).
