Dress – Eliza J (dress no longer available on site – dress is matte jersey with rouched shoulders, zipper down the back, fully lined)
Shoes Nine West
Bracelet – A long strand of small champagne pearls, from Nordstrom

A Nordstrom-full outfit today!  I bought the dress for their Anniversary Sale but it didn't fit at the time, even with my most heavy-duty Spanx.  Now it does.  Small changes to the body!

And these shoes… LOVE LOVE LOVE them!  They come in wide so they fit my chunky tootsies, they are calf hair so not only a fab print but fab texture, love that the heel is black and not fabric covered so if it gets scuffed I can clean it up.  I desperately missed my leopard-print peeptoes from BCBGirls that I rocked the heck out of pre-pregnancy.  Alas I am no longer a 7.5 and now my friend S owns them.  As for these new pumps, I actually got these in black leather as well – these two pairs will be my go-to shoes this fall and winter!

Hair is second day, again trying to make silk out of a sow's ear with my curling iron and a touch of Jonathan Product Silky Dirtir?t=whaevewomneei 20&l=btl&camp=213689&creative=392969&o=1&a=B003737XES.  Think I would have been better off sans-Silky Dirtir?t=whaevewomneei 20&l=btl&camp=213689&creative=392969&o=1&a=B003737XES because it made my hair look… well dirty! 🙂

  1. Gorgeous dress, looks great on you! Do you know about stylist Kendall Farr? She’s coined the term “the almighty unbroken line”. Looks like you’ve nailed it there!

    Jxxnx

  2. Ok, I have been lusting after the Ann Taylor version of that dress, and now I’m so going to order it! You look awesome! If Matt gets mad because I did it when I promised that I wouldn’t order any more dresses until I wear the two in my closet that still have tags, I’m so blaming you. 🙂 (Just kidding–he won’t be mad when he sees how gorgeous that dress is!)

  3. Sure they do. Allie gives all this fashion advice and makes a big deal about women of all sizes wearing things that flatter, and those teeny little shoes are very unflattering with her thick-ish legs (that still look great in lots of other dress/shoe combinations). Small shoes just do not work without small legs. I am not trying to be mean…but why post a fashion blog if one does not want honest feedback? My honest feedback is that the dress is nice, and the shoes are nice…but the shoes with a dress makes her legs look fat. They would be great peeping out of slacks though, or with tights.

  4. wow, your legs look really fat in that dress. otherwise, I like it. Maybe some support hose, or tights would help??? Maybe thicker shoes???
