Bad Allie. No pictures.

So I got up early and ironed my two button-down shirts. Then I decided to go all Tracy Turnblatt on my hair and iron it as well. I used to do this in college and high school – the setting below wool on completely dry hair. Bend at the ironing board, run the iron quickly over the hair. My stylist Kathleen is probably shuddering at this idea, but it does a good job of straightening my hair without making it flat. I would take a pic in my cube… but my camera battery is DEAD. But I used some PureOlogy Root Boost while damp, dried with a paddle brush while my head was tipped upside down so lots of volume. Then the iron… it looks cool, as though I naturally have thick hair that is mostly straight.

Anyway, I am wearing my short-sleeved white cotton shirt with the great tailored fit and puff sleeves from Ann Taylor and with it my new dark denim stretchy pencil skirt from Newport News that I won and received yesterday. I asked for it in a 12 and even that is a teensy bit big (though a 10 would be far too bootylicious). I wish it came in petite though because it is longer than I usually wear. I wore it high on the waist (near ribcage) and it still falls to bottom of the knee. However, it has a nice fitted retro shape, great seaming to have it keep its shape and the denim is thin and very stretchy for a tailored fit and it is also very very dark and saturated – almost like a deep deep navy indigo instead of denim. Then my silver cuff and my pink pointy-toed pumps from NYLA

Makeup is L'Oreal True Match concealer in W4-5, philosophy The Supernatural in beige, Nars blush in Orgasm, the same Maybelline shadow quad as yesterday but the silvery color over the lids, lashes curled, many coats of DiorShow mascara in black and a decently thick line of Maybelline UltraLiner in black on top lash line. On lips is Revlon Super Lustrous Lip Gloss in Shine That Pink (yes just as bright as my shoes).

So, I am in need of a new camera battery. I have two and both of them have been destroyed and keep a charge maybe a day of I am lucky. Not so good as that I have a few events and trips lined up in the next couple months. So I am on Amazon looking at Canon batteries and of course also other fun electronics (we're thinking of setting up the PC at home to the TV – the monitor died and a cordless keyboard is cheaper than a monitor and it would be very cool for editing photos and using the surround-sound speakers for iTunes…). Any cordless keyboard recommendations?
