Beach 0013Beach 0022Black Ponte de Roma knit jacket from Banana Republic outlet (bracelet-length sleeves, wide seams, large plastic buttons… very excited about this new purchase for I can see it dressing up and down well and working for all seasons), gray ribbed tank from Caslon, Joe's “Provacateur” jeans (should ahve been washed, they were all stretched out and got funny throughout the day), black croco peep toe heels from BCBGirls, silver hoops from The Icing, silver cuff.

Hair washed and conditioned with Pureology, and then added some Brilliant Brunette Shine Shock while wet, then super fast blew it dry because I was running late. A touch of Jonathan Dirt for texture and ta-dah.

Makeup is L'Oreal True Match concealer in W4-5 (I am almost out, I have not completely used an entire concealer since I was pale pale pale and used MAC! This stuff ROCKS), Body Shop bronzing powder in Light for face powder (and seeing a lot of the metal at the bottom, looks like a cosmetics shopping trip is in the near future… Toya wanna help a girl out?), Smashbox Soft Lights in Tint on cheekbones, on lips is Revlon Super Lustrous Lip gloss in Shine That Pink, eyes is khaki shadow from Revlon's ColorStay shadow quad in Neutral Khakis. Lashes curled and two coats of Max Factor's Lash Perfection in black, and a line of Maybelline UltraLiner in black on top lash line.

  1. Waaah, we never got a Forth and Towne in this neck of the woods and it is already closing!

Such a random memory, but I recall an issue of Seventeen back when I was probably 17 and they did a makeover on a girl who was going to college. They put her in 501 jeans, a white tee with a feminine cut and a warm buttery yellow boiled wool cardigan with darker gold braid trim and gold buttons. I utterly LOVED that look. More recently loved the Chanel jacket/cami/jeans look. I am always on the prowl for a dressy jacket to pair with casual jeans! 🙂

  2. I just bought a jacket very similar to this at Forth and Towne…or is it Forthe and Town…whatever. Mine is heavy material which formalizes it so I son’t think it will look good with jeans like this one does but with white slacks or my black and white plaid pencil skirt it will be so awesome! All I need is to have the sleeved shortened a bit and some cooler weather!

    Awesome jacket!

  3. Love, love, loooove the jacket! It looks amazing on you. Am too tall (6’1) and hippy for such a piece, especially because i have a short torso but it looks faaabuuuluusss on you my dear.
