Yesterday I went into Ann Taylor to return a piece I ordered online and left with this blouse (size 12 Regular). I didn't want to spend, but this top was just too cute. The bow detail is so sweet and would look great peeking out of a cardigan once the temperature drops. And then once I got home, these shoes were waiting for me from a recent Nordstrom purchase. I already own Vince Camuto shoes and know they are well-crafted and comfortable and these aren't any different. I love the details – the haircalf exterior, visible stitching on the leather sole, leather insole – these shoes in person look far more expensive than their pricetag. While they aren't a true black and white print (more like off-white with brown-black) when right on top of the shoe, from this distance (and even when I cross my legs) it is a good match with the blouse.

  1. I recently purchased a similar pleated skirt thinking, “This is something I’d see on Wardrobe Oxygen”. Lo and behold, I wore mine today and here it is on the blog! Love it!

  2. I can’t wait to see it with a cardigan in the fall. I love shirts with a little bit of detail around the neckline like the bow, but can never figure out how to layer them and get it to look right!

  3. This is my favourite of your recent outfits! So gorgeous, and you look beautiful and happy as ever. Your outfits are such an inspiration – I have embraced colour and mixing prints because of seeing you do it so well!

  4. SUPER cute. I love the top so much, I’m thinking of buying it now, WHILE PREGNANT, just so I can have it in time for next Spring! ( I give birth in Feb.) Love this whole look.

  5. Hi Alison,

I live in MD so when I need style inspiration I always visit your page to get it. I can tell you have an amazing personality and sense of style and you are not afraid of color which I love!!! Regardless of the negative comments which I read about in a previous post, I just wanted to drop a note to you and say I love your style. Keep smiling..Dominique 🙂

  6. Allie,

You pull this look off so well. You look fabulous in pink. You in this outfit reminds me of the gorgeous pinup girls on the 40s posters and calendars.

I don’t like pink on me anyway, but if I tried this look, I would look like the hippopotamus toe dancers from Disney’s Fantasia!

  7. This is a really cute summery look! You’ve given me a lot of inspiration! I normally find pleated skirts (even in light fabrics) too ‘pouffy’ and bulky but this one looks to be a really nice weight of fabric and size of pleat. (although I’d like to see it with a different bag if possible as I think the black one is quite a harsh contrast)

  8. Love this combo of black/white with the bright coral color. The bow on the blouse is adorable!
Incidentally, I’m glad to be able to comment again–I had issues for a few days where I was unable to do so.

  9. Hee hee! I’m wearing that skirt today too, with a deep purple tee and an orange paisley scarf. I’ll try the leopard shoes next time. You’re always an inspiration!
