Wet and Soggy Tuesday

It's not just the pavement that it wet – it is me who was running late and left the house with wet hair.  I know, I despise when people do this and then I do it myself.  Do know by time my sister dropped me off at the corner where my office building is located, I was nice and dry and full of springy curls!

I also don't love these shoes with this dress – I can totally see a round-toe platform pump, tights and booties or even a sleek pair of tall boots.  However I am working with what I have and this is currently what I have.  Bah.

So this is my new dress from Ann Taylor Loft.  Not until I found the link to it online did I know it was supposed to be a tunic – eh well that shoes you how petite I am!

With it I am wearing brown croco T-strap heels from Sofft, my silver bead necklace from H&M, silver hoops and cuff and a silver chain with my wedding band that still does not fit on my finger.

And my hair is wet.  It was washed and conditioned with Pureology, and then I added Frederic Fekkai's Glossing Curls and scrunched.  If I leave it completely alone (no dryer, no fingers, no nada) I end up with soft and shiny ringlets.  So it looks hein here, but was lovely by 9am.
Makeup is Estee Lauder's Nutritious mineral foundation in Intensity 3.0, Cargo's Matte BeachBlush in Tenerife, Revlon ColorStay shadow quad in Neutral Khakis, Cover Girl LashBlast mascara in Rich Black, Avon Luxury Liner in Black, and Benefit Lipstick in Bouquet Dive.
This dress really makes me look forward to fall fashion.  I am a summer girl and feel as though this summer completely passed me by, but the jewel tones and print in this dress make me dream of tall boots and suede!

  1. Oh, Allie, I have missed you! Been away and loving catching up on three weeks’ worth of posts. Is it wrong that ( as a happy-to-leave-the-house-wth-wet-hair-slut) I laughed OUT LOUD when I read this post? Welcome to my world! X
