My husband and I had a wonderful time visiting Asheville, North Carolina for his 40th birthday. We saw the sights, we went for drives, we ate amazing food… and we also did some excellent shopping.

When I visit a city, hotel, or other destination I love, I like getting a souvenir.ย  I'm not one for those being tee shirts, but when I saw this one in Asheville I couldn't resist!ย They call Asheville Paris of the South, and at one time it as as popular and coveted a locale as Paris. I think it still is a gorgeous part of this great country!

And I can't resist this fall's trend of enamel pins.ย  I found these eyelash ones on Etsy and thought they were a perfect way to update my trusty denim jacket. I added one on each point of the collar. Not easy to see in these photos, but I think it makes a very cool impact in person.

If you follow me on Snapchat you know I found sunglasses I thought I lost in my backpack when I went to Raleigh. Since I found them, I treated myself to buying some replacement makeup at Sephora.ย

This lipstick was either a promo code GWP or a VIB offer, and I really really like it.ย  It's a true red, matte, but not dry looking.ย  It looks as though I just colored my lips red and it wears away in a gentle way where I don't look as though I ate off my lips.ย  It's a mini lipstick; I'll see if by the time it's used up if I'll buy the full-sized version.

Shoutout to ASOS Curve which carries plus size jewelry.ย  As a curvy girl, I've had a hard time finding a choker that doesn't literally choke me.ย  This spring I got one from Baublebar that broke with a sneeze.ย

This one from ASOS Curve is adjustable, so I could even wear it lower and add a pendant to it.ย  They have plenty of curvy-girl jewelry like larger rings, arm bands, bracelets, watches, and plenty more styles of chokers.ย  Here's to brands making trends accessible to all!

  1. For good plus-size costume jewelry, check out Avenue! The quality of their clothes can be hit or miss for me, but their jewelry is AWESOME and they often have really good sales on it. I got a ton the last time I went and have gotten a lot of compliments on it.
