I love huge sweaters like this, so perfect to snuggle up in when the temperatures drop. This weekend I wore it as a cardigan with a simple tee and jeans, but tried wrapping and belting the sweater and found it looked more polished and appropriate for a casual day at the office or going out to brunch with my friends.  I love the color story and it has fun knit elbow pads for interest.

The bag is a recent MYHABIT score; I had some credit stored up and this bag went on mega sale making it only $19! The blue is no longer available but they do have it in brown and plum.  I don't love the lining which is a plasticy feeling acetate, but the leather and color is great, I love that there's short handles plus the adjustable crossbody/shoulder strap, an outside pocket for my SmarTrip card and phone, and plenty of interior pockets to keep me organized.

As for the tee, it's on a mega sale right now – when I bought it, it was $24.99 and then 60% off that price.  I got it in the black and white and the navy and oatmeal colors – you know me, I can't resist a good price on a great striped tee!

  1. I love this sweater and how you’ve belted it! I am surprised to see you in Jessica Simpson shoes, though- I love her styles, but whenever I try them on they are so uncomfortable! Guess I will keep trying!

    1. I have had many pairs before that feel comfy in the store and then I wear them and they’re awful. These aren’t shoes I’d wear to go sightseeing or to a standing room only concert, but they’re pretty comfy and roomy for a high slim heel!

  2. I’m undecided about that belt.
I think it looks good, much more polished than the collar of the sweater flapping around and definetly appropriate for light outwear, but my first thought is that a big cozy sweater like this needs a wider/rougher/bigger looking belt. Any insight as to your choice? My guess is that it was not the only black belt hanging in your closet.

    1. It’s funny, when I realized it would look good belted I immediately grabbed my big obi belt, sure it would look best. Nope, it lost the drape. I tried a 2″ wide stretchy belt and it also didn’t seem right. I was sure a skinny belt wouldn’t work but not only I liked it, but K which was surprising because he doesn’t notice things like that. I think it’s because I am short and thick, the belt just made me look shorter and thicker?
