These photos were taken the day after I got LASIK.  I had to wear sunglasses all the time, even indoors.  I had mega eye boogies from the drops I had to keep applying and because I couldn't rub my eyes.  I was tired; the previous night's sleep was a bit weird since I took such a long nap that day (you take a nap after LASIK to let the eyes heal) and had to wear eye shields.  My vision was great but still a bit hazy and the sunglasses didn't help.  My follow-up appointment was at 8am and I didn't want to be a schlub, but I felt like wearing pajamas.  This look is the next best thing.

My gold Ray-Ban aviators are the least dark which helped navigating around on a grey winter day.  I added gold jewelry to up the glam hoping the effect would be more diva and less random person in sunglasses indoors.  I'll be sure to provide a full recap of my LASIK experience once I've had all my checkups, but so far so good!

  1. You look great. Distinctly NOT schlub or pajama-like.
I love everything you are wearing and want them all!

Congrats on making the LASIK leap. I had PRK (the old version of the treatment) 10 years ago and it is the best thing I ever did.

  2. I’m digging both the top and those gorgeous looking pants! Wow! You “look” fabulous, excuse the pun, as if you didn’t have a care in the world walking in the cold. There is no way I could tell that you were dealing with the after effects of your Lasik surgery. You are still super photogenic!

I myself am taking the day off getting last minute tasks done (blood work and chest x-ray) in preparation for my shoulder surgery in two and half weeks. I’ll have plenty of time to enjoy and comment on your daily posts.

  3. I love that top! I’ve added it to my wish list in the hope that it will go on sale. I could see myself pretty much living in it. 🙂 Congrats on the Lasik! I had crazy, rare, bad side effects (that were eventually resolved) and it was still the best thing I’ve ever done for myself. I hope you love it!

  4. I liked the top thinking it was a sweater, when I realized it is a sweatshirt and so multi-functional I fell in love! Not in my current budget but now that I know such a thing exists I will be looking for one…

  5. I love that top! Also, have you talked about those pants elsewhere? I am still looking for leather-look leggings…
