Thought process when ordering these items: Oh gosh I am going to the opening of The Wing in DC and I want to show that though I am 43, I am not old and frumpy. But I am not also trying to look young or try-hard. Come through ASOS, bring me some things that make…
New Year’s Eve is around the corner. Every year my sister throws an amazing New Year’s Eve bash where sequins are highly recommended. I wore this look last year; not sure yet what sparkly confection from the back of the closet I’ll pull out this year but I’ll be sure to share the outfit on…
It has been a bit since I have shared what I wore recently on Wardrobe Oxygen. I do on a regular basis on Instagram, and pretty much daily in my Instagram Stories, but things have been hectic lately and I haven’t been able to gather them all here on the blog. Well here’s what I…
Saturday started with yoga. Teal tee shirt from Old Navy, black sueded cotton pants from Pro Spirit. Hair was second day, just brushed out. Makeup was worn because I looked as though I only had four hours of sleep and maybe one too many vodka tonics (I did). I used my L’Oreal True Match concealer…
Red crepe jersey dress from Maggy London, black tights from DKNY, black heeled oxfords from BCBGirls, gold bangles from Ralph Lauren. Hair is day 2.1, all I did was hit the bedhead with a curling iron and added a tiny bit more of Jonathan Silky Dirt, twirling around sections and using to smooth bangs. Makeup…
Olive cargo jacket – Caslon White ribbed tank – Caslon Denim pencil skirt – Halogen Leopard pumps – Nine West “Madeup” (no longer available) Silver and green necklaces – New York & Co (no longer available) Silver cuff So I did a little online shopping and these are my two new purchases. What’s funny is that…
Thanks for the location info! I’ve got to make a trip out there to see what they are doing.
It’s a great way to brighten up a tough part of Route 1!
I love this look on you! You look so happy wearing this outfit and you totally own it. This is true personal style.
thanks Sophie!
You look great! I Love how you customized the coveralls. And the photos are soooo fun with the colorful backdrop.
thanks Christine!
So much fun when we get to fulfill a long held idea—especially when it works out so awesomely! Yay! This is such a fun and lively look for you.
I always think there is something perfect in pairing blues in the indigo range with silver accessories.
Agree, love denim with silver!
Cute!
thanks!
I too have been lusting after coveralls and having an impossible time finding a pair that fit over my chest but don’t have a crotch down to my shins. I finally found my dream pair at Lucky Brand; black denim slouchy perfection. Loose but not sloppy, short enough for this 5’1″ plus ish size person. No belt for the look Alison is wearing or belted for that 80’s retro thing. A sigh of pleasure for me.
Oooh sounds perfect!
Seriously, if I’d just read the post without seeing the pictures, I would be like “She’s lost her darn mind. Coveralls? With wings? And high-heeled silver boots?” But the photos prove otherwise — the whole ensemble totally works, looks great on you, and is fun and unusual and statement making without trying too hard. Well done!
LOL thank you bubu!
Adorbs!
thanks!
OMG… I never would have thought of wings! That’s so cute and a nice visual break in a long expanse of denim. When you posted about these, I thought it was too bad the wash was such a light color, but I couldn’t resist them. I love this suit and it’s fun and comfortable with enough ease to make it an easy on/off, which is always an issue with jumpsuits. And, I couldn’t believe the quality of fabric and construction for the price. I am thinking about dyeing them a darker color still, but I love these. Thanks for the inspiration and the shove out of my comfort zone!
And, You look great in these! Thanks for the post. I was really interested to see you put your personal spin on these and it was worth waiting for!
let me know if you do dye them and how they turn out. This color isn’t my fave, would be curious to see if it improves them!
This outfit is awesome; love the angel wings! The location of the shoot is also fantastic.
thanks Sara!
Allie, I love this look! Thank you for always sharing the most interesting things, and balancing your fashion/sponsored posts with more personal ones about giving back, or about what you’re going through. Happy holidays <3
Thank you so much Agu!
The coveralls are so cute on you! You are very lovely and wear clothes beautifully. I really enjoy your blog.
thank you Renee!
You look great in those coveralls! And how cool is that building? Love what Green Owl Design is doing. There are some amazingly creative people in this country.
Thank you and I agree Lee!
