This weekend I went to Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. While there I popped into a White House Black Market just to check out their fall collection. I found a black leather skirt that was almost perfection – if I had been taller and had less of a booty/mama pooch, I would have grabbed it.

Not a full skirt, not a pencil, nice waistband, soft buttery leather, and POCKETS!  If you are taller than I and either less curvy or more of a pear shape, you too may find this skirt to be awesome. Well, the salesperson grabbed me this blouse to try with the skirt, and I totally fell in love.

I am not one for a lot of prints, but I feel polka-dots are classic. Being sleeveless means it can work now in the dog days of summer, but can also look smart come fall and winter with a cardigan or jacket. The bow adds interest and showcases a popular trend for fall. I know it will work with so many pieces I already have, like this skirt. I also like that it has a curved hemline – I think it would look cute untucked with jeans and high-heeled booties for a more casual look.

  1. I love the black, white, and yellow together. I love White House/Black Market, but alas can not fit in their clothing yet. Maybe someday. Anyway, you look very pretty! It seems like you had a great weekend as well.

  2. You look fantastic in that combo – and I’d just like to say that I think that even your ankles are looking slimmer lately! You can really tell that you’ve lost weight and are firming things up.
