Friday through Monday
Happy Presidents Day everyone! My company doesn't have the day off, but I took it off because I had a lot of errands I needed to accomplish before 6pm. So I will be busy today!
Friday I finally got back into the office.

It snowed on Wednesday. A lot. Enough that we wondered if the government would close early or have liberal leave. Enough that a few freaked out. I didn’t, I took the Metro to work and had my husband picking me up. No worries. However on Thursday morning, it was very icy and some courts and… Continue Reading Thursday
This post is sponsored by Soft Surroundings and ShopStyle. I also received a gift card to purchase my choice of Soft Surroundings product. I decided to focus on loungewear. Soft Surroundings‘ philosophy is that by putting yourself first, you can take better care of friends and family and hopefully live a happier, more fulfilling life.… Continue Reading What I Wore: Lounging Around
New sweater! I got this from Ann Taylor โ itโs black, a chunky weave with dolman sleeves โ I always love funky sleeves like this. I think this sweater will look fab as the weather cools โ imagine it with dark skinny jeans and boots, maybe even with a short skirt and opaque tights, even… Continue Reading Wednesday Aug 25, 2010
I have been a fan of Lands’ End outerwear for decades. I still own a Lands’ End Squall Parka that I purchased in my 20’s and have reviewed Lands’ End outerwear in the past but haven’t bought a coat from them in a bit. Lands’ End invited me to check out their outerwear selection for… Continue Reading The Best Outerwear from Lands’ End for a DC Winter: My Picks
For regular updates of what I wore, I always share my outfits on Instagram Stories, with some outfits making it onto the feed of Instagram and on my Facebook page. I’ll try to be more consistent with posts like this once a month so you can see what I am wearing beyond capsule wardrobes, sponsored… Continue Reading What I Wore Recently: March 2023
Black cotton/spandex tank from Banana Republic, black lightweight merino low-wrap sweater also from Banana Republic, ivory cuffed trousers from Ann Taylor, black round toe high heel pumps from Jessica Simpson. Silver dangle earrings from Nordstrom and my trusty silver cuff. And for those who have asked, here is a picture of my trusty silver cuff… Continue Reading Wednesday
Love the sweater. Your hair looks great too! You have me thinking of ordering a pair of duo boots.
Alli, you are always too cute!
I have a present for you on my blog!
Looking good, Allie! Love this outfit.
Thanks, Allie. Tried them out on the snow and ice here and took them to the cobbler’s for treaded soles. Now they are perfect for winter weather!
This is great look! You look great rocking the boots over jeans look!
love the browns and pretty gold jewelry here.
Nope they don’t have the best tread on them, but I waterproofed them and they have a better sole than most of my other shoes (and I think equal to sneakers) so they have become my winter go-to boots.
Hope you are enjoying your day off, Allie. How did your duo boots do in the snow? I ask as I just got a pair of Bern in black and am a bit hesitant to walk on the snow and ice in them since they don’t have a deep profile on the soles.
Thanks for any tips!
LOVE that sweater on you!! And you are rocking those jeans. Glad to see you have been surviving the DC snow.
Oh dear! I wear my yoga pants and ribbed tanks and cardigans out to do errands. I do I do. Bad girl.
I love your blog and seeing your outfits.
