I will be going straight out after work so needed a look that was office-appropriate, as well as restaurant- and club-appropriate.  This jacket did me well when I went to the 9:30 Club the other weekend – when it got warm I just slung it over my crossbody mini-purse.  And of COURSE I had to wear these shoes – as you know, they are the most comfortable shoes in my entire wardrobe!

And nope, didn't dye my hair.  I do have red and caramel highlights/streaks in it, and I think when it's raining the cheapy camerair?t=whaevewomneei 20&l=btl&camp=213689&creative=392969&o=1&a=B0035FZJKS really picks up those colors. 🙂

  1. No, I wasn’t saying it to be mean or rude. I said what I honestly thought, but I wasn’t nasty. Allie wears some really cute outfits, and I even copied a few of them, I just didn’t think the booties did her or the outfit justice, and thankfully (hopefully) it didn’t offend Allie.

I studied Fashion & Textiles at University and have even worked with two very well known UK designers as an in-house stylist, so I do kind of have an idea of what I’m talking about.

Kudos to the lovely Allie for being so nice.

  2. Lookin hot! I actually think the booties work without tights. I am wondering if I can have the courage to wear mine without them this spring! I have some that are way high but are sooo comfortable too. It can happen believe it or not!

  3. I can’t believe it either, but I can wear these puppies all day long – they are my go-to shoes when I will be walking or standing a lot but need to be pulled together. And to think I wasn’t going to buy them!

  4. It’s all good Kayla, thanks!

When I put this on today I knew that the booties weren’t the most figure-flattering choice. However I won’t be home until midnight and I needed footwear that wouldn’t give me pain and ruin my night, and between you and me (and anyone who reads these comments) I have destroyed every pair of black tights I own – my last pair has three runs being stopped by navy nailpolish and I just CAN’T wear tights again. 🙂

Not my best sartorial choice, but I can be sure I’ll be able to dance until I turn into a pumpkin. 🙂

Thank you for your honest feedback, I do appreciate it and I learn from it!

  6. Honestly, I love a lot of your outfits, especially with you being a plus-size blogger and a lot of other bloggers are skinny minnies. But I don’t like this skirt/bootee combo with the expanse of bare leg. Plus, where the bootees cut off around your ankles make your ankles look huge – which they don’t normally look. I’ve seen you in much cuter outfits but I have to always be honest. Your hair looks absolutely gorgeous, the color is fantastic.

Sorry, I don’t have a blog, hence the Anon.
