the best circle bags for spring and summer 2018 at all price pointsI don’t think you need to adopt a single trend to look stylish. However, each season some trends arrive that can really update your look and provide style for this season and many seasons to come. This season, I am loving the circle bag trend. While this trend has been here for a bit (I had a circle bag this past fall), this spring the bags are more functional (you can retrieve items one-handed without having to remove the entire bag) and full of variety so there’s one to fit most any personal style and budget. Below my picks for the best circle bags for spring and beyond (incuding my latest bag purchase):

The Best Summery Circle Bags

  1. Need a bit more space in your bag? This shoulder bag would be a fantastic beach or everyday bag. I love the drawstring liner which keeps everything in place and would also protect your contents from sand and water. $49
  2. Think pink! Hot pink is hot hot hot this spring, but it’s always a great accent color. This raffia round crossbody bag from KAANAS is so simple and so sweet, it would look great with a Breton top and ankle jeans, summer sundresses, and even your favorite jeans. $69
  3. When the temps rise, you want a bag that won’t add weight or sweat to your day. This small, lightweight canvas shouderbag is perfect for jaunts to the farmers market, sightseeing, or even to tuck into a bigger bag for shopping or weekends at the pool. The blue would be great if you desire a neutral, though the polka dot option is pretty adorable. $45
  4. The raffia and wicker bag trend is another hot look this spring. Get both trends in one bag with this black crossbody. The color elevates the look beyond the boardwalk, making it a piece you can wear everyday. $45

The Best Circle Bags for the Minimalist

Wardrobe Oxygen picks the best circle bags at every price point for 2018. These minimalist styles will be chic now and seasons to come.

  1. This is the round crossbody bag I bought last month. Made of super buttery leather, this bag is lightweight and not too large, but still has enough room for all your purse essentials and a paperback novel or bottle of water. While I got it in black, it also comes in a very chic cognac shade. $198  The same bag, offered in a shade called Aloe.
  2. For the minimalist, this soft calfskin crossbody is perfection. No visible hardware, no frou-frou, just clean lines and craftsmanship. Three colors to choose from; the natural is pretty perfect for spring though I am drawn to the silver too! $180
  3. If you’d prefer your tote to be able to be slung over your shoulder, this is a great option. Clean lines and no hardware, this can be your everyday bag that you wear year-round. Two colors and finishes to choose from this USA-made leather bag. $358
  4. So clean and modern, this suede crossbody becomes a classic. Three colors to choose from, the red is so rich but gosh that blue has me swooning and dreaming of summer days. Suede is one of the hot fabrics this spring (YES suede can be worn in spring and summer! That old rule died over a decade ago and never made sense anyway. Come on, shouldn’t suede be worn in the dry months?). What an elegant bag! $228
  5. For those who prefer a larger bag, or need more space for their essentials, I have the bag for you! This tote keeps the circle trend going, but with plenty of room (and plenty of chic-ness!). I love the detail of the handles, it really elevates the whole look. $68

The Best Circle Bags with Spunk

Wardrobe Oxygen picks the best circle bags for spring and summer 2018. These are the most creative and sassy picks for the season at all price points.

  1. If you like your bag to also be a work of art, check out this circle bag from Ann Howell Bullard. Handpainted and made in the USA, this is the kind of bag that can be part of your signature style and worn year round for years to come. $398
  2. Cat lovers rejoice with this adorable crossbody! Gold trim and partial-chain crossbody strap dress up this bag so it could work for a night out, a day wedding, or Sunday brunch. The feline details aren’t too precious; if you style it with a simpler look you could easily rock this even if you don’t usually have a whimsical personal style. $29
  3. Make a statement without saying a word with this two-tone circle bag. The black and white contrast gives a mod feel and will work with everything from a fit and flare dress with trendy sneakers to a blazer and jeans. I’d love to see it with an all black and white look, it would be terribly chic. $54
  4. Looking for the perfect little bag to hold all your essentials to the next concert, festival, or night out? How about this studded beauty from ASOS? Black with silver studs in a pretty pattern and a partial-chain crossbody strap will glam up even a simple tee and jeans. With its price you won’t feel bad if it gets a little mud or sloshed beer on it (and the material will be easy to wipe clean) yet it can still dress up for Date Night. $35
  5. Looking for some sass with your circle bag? How about this beaded cutie from Clare V? Clip off the handle and you have a clutch for evening events that will definitely make a statement with your not-so LBD. $315

  1. How did you manage to read my mind? I’ve been thinking about circle bags and you’ve found some amazing ones. Thanks!

  2. These round bags are just so cute! I want one, but I also don’t feel like I can justify spending a lot of money on one. I’m worried the style will go out too soon and I also tend to be rough on my bags. So, maybe one of the less expensive options for me, for summer. Thanks Ali!

  3. In college (late 80s/early 90s) I had a circle Gucci bag. I honestly have no idea where I got it – I had no money! But it was a prized possession. I donated it about 10 years ago, after it just sat on my shelf in my closet for years. Can’t believe it is on trend now!
