Teal jersey dress from Proenza Schouler for Target, leopard peeptoe heels from BCBGirls, gold bangles from Ralph Lauren, gold chain necklace from the beach shortened with a safety pin. Hair was washed and allowed to air dry. Brushed out hair with round brush and dryer to create soft waves, bit of Brilliant Brunette’s Satin Shine…
I’m all about wearing what I already own, and I’ve been looking at this Universal Standard jumpsuit I wore this summer and was trying to figure out how to winterize it. It’s twill, so it’s a seasonless fabric, and the color doesn’t scream summer either. A turtleneck is a given, but since the sleeves are…
Blackberry dolman-sleeved tunic sweater from Ann Taylor, denim trousers from Gap, leopard-print ballet flats from Target, silver cuff, silver dangle earrings from Nordstrom, silver chain from Renaissance Festival and pocketwatch on chain from Ann Taylor Loft. Hair washed and conditioned with L’Oreal Professional Kiwi line, then a bit of Nexxus Texxtur and Sexy Straight Hair…
Today I didn’t go to yoga – I really had a lot of errands to do and instead I gave the dog some TLC with a nice walk through the woods. Ran all around town wearing my burgundy merino shift from Banana Republic, black thermal long-sleeved tee from Old Navy and tan Bern boots from…
Today we are having clients in the office so we were asked to dressed “appropriately.” With my current shape, I thought this was the most appropriate “slightly nicer than business casual but no need for a suit” look that I owned while being comfortable in the muggy DC heat. Attire: Kenar – Purple jersey woven…
Dress: c/o eShakti | Cardigan: Ann Taylor (similar) | Shoes: Ivanka Trump | Bracelets: “Emerson” c/o Kristin Biggs, Stella and Dot (other two are from sets I purchased this past year from Nordstrom) Two years ago, I tried out eShakti and didn’t have the most perfect of experiences. So when they contacted me last month…
Have you ordered anything else from Lands End Canvas? I am wanting to order a dress from there, but am a bit worried about the sizing. Lands End stuff can be really big! If you have, is it similar?
This is the scarf:

It is 27″ square. I fold it on the angle – one point to center, opposite point to center, fold again (like you do when you make a square scarf a headband). End up with a 3″ wide band. Tie a single knot in the center of the strip, then two on either side. The tips/ends I tie a very tiny knot at the tips just to close the loop.
OK, Allie, I don’t understand the 3 knot scarf trick…..it’s cute as hell, but what size was the scarf and where did you place the knots??? Sorry, but I need more visual help. Thanks! Glad to have you back, BTW. Missed you while you were “on sabbatical”.
I love your scarf idea! that is so cute! And you look so great today!
Cute idea for the scarf – I’ll have to try that out! Love the heels!
I have no idea how you stand in those shoes.
I love your trick with the scarf! very cute! you look great! 🙂
