Wardrobe Oxygen in a candy striped cotton bell sleeve blouse from Vince Camuto with white Talbots ankle jeans, Aerosoles sandals, and a raffia clutchI bought this top back in May and have been wearing the heck out of it.  Crisp cotton is so great in this heat because it sticks out away from the body.  These sleeves capture the breeze and keep me cool.  I've worn it with black ankle pants to work, denim and white twill shorts, with my faded jeans, and quite often with these white jeans.  The mix of colors makes it so versatile (another perk – it's currently on sale!).

What's the point of doing a whole face to have it melt off (or I wipe it off when wiping off sweat)? I've “enhanced” my summer glow with Dr. Dennis Gross' Glow pads for my face and this in-shower color from Jergens for the rest of me. I am HORRIBLE at self-tanner and am famous for getting streaks even when I follow instructions to the letter. These two… not too shabby. The Jergens product is gradual enough that if I do end up with a dark spot on an ankle or a streak on my thigh it's gone after a day or so.  If you buy it… less is more.

And can we talk about these EARRINGS?  I was on a search on Etsy for something completely different but when I saw these I HAD to have them!  They're clip on, from the '80s, in great condition and you shouldn't be surprised to see them regularly on the blog!  This link is to the same seller who has a bunch of other fabulous earrings to choose from.

  1. I noticed in your recent outfit posts that your legs looked a wee bit tanner. I just want a little color on my legs so I’m going to give the Jergens a try. Thanks for the tip and your legs look really great…natural and not streaky 😉

  2. You look so pretty in bold colors. And the earnings are the perfect addition. I love that you seek out one-of-a-kind accessories.

  3. I’ve purchased a few Vince Camuto tops on Nordstrom and even more since the Anniversary Early Access Sale. The top you’re wearing is cute, cute, cute! Love the contrasting stripes that really compliment your white pants, while those sleeves feature the new bell sleeves only shorter. If it was a tad bit longer in length and the sleeves either shorter or longer, I’d consider it.

      1. I purchased several of Nordstrom Halogen brand tops and their fabulous leggings all at super low prices. Thanks so much for the heads up!

  4. Love this outfit! Aren’t stripes just the best? I’m kicking myself for not getting to my local Talbots a few months back to try those white jeans. I ended up buying a pair of Gap girlfriend white jeans, then had them tapered & hemmed. After paying for all that, I’m hesitant to get another similar pair. You look marvelous Allie!

  5. That shirt has such a great shape! I’ve been debating something similar but I wondered whether it would look too tent-like on someone well endowed. But I think styling as you have with a skinnier fitting bottom half is the key! Super summery vibes – love it.

  6. I WANT to like this shirt, but it looks so short! I feel like I’d flash tummy every time I raised my arms. Sigh. The plight of the long-torsoed lady with little stick legs, haha.

I do love those colors – they look summery with white pants but I bet it transitions pretty seamlessly into fall.

    1. It likely would be too short if you have a long torso. Granted, my boobs are taking up a lot of the fabric, so I think someone not as busty would have a bit more length going on! 🙂 VC had this same stripe in a bunch of other tops too. I originally bought this top from Nordstrom, but it’s sold out there, but I remember seeing I think an off the shoulder and something more… standard (short sleeves or sleeveless) in the same print.

    2. Found some alternatives from Vince Camuto:
This has a similar concept, but seems to be a more flowy fabric and run a bit longer: http://shopstyle.it/l/cMek
This is the same stripe, but an off the shoulder top: http://shopstyle.it/l/cMhe
Though not in the same fun colors, this plus size blouse has the same stripe concept though in black, white and tan: http://shopstyle.it/l/cMhi
Another sleeveless striped top from VC; these colors remind me of the beach: http://shopstyle.it/l/cMex and the same top in plus sizes: http://shopstyle.it/l/cMhN
That same stripe, but with short sleeves: http://shopstyle.it/l/cMhF
And this is NOT striped, but when looking for striped VC tops I found this geometric print tee and I think I may get it next paycheck. It would be just as versatile as the top I’m wearing… even more so because the sleeves will fit under a blazer or cardigan! Cute with black pants or skirt, white jeans, even shorts: http://shopstyle.it/l/cMjv
