Hair was washed and conditioned the night prior, a bit of Jonathan Silky Dirt added while damp and then air dried. This morning, a few frizzy pieces were hit with the curling iron and the ends were brushed.

It is WARM today! When I left the house it was near 80 degrees. I still took my long brown suede coat because… well because it looked really fabulous with the outfit. Also feared it may get colder tonight.

My hives came back yesterday with a vengeance; both days they have been all over my face and neck more than any other part of the body. I feel like a leper. I thought the new regimen was helping the hives, but I guess they just took a vacation and returned. Back to the doctor…

  1. Hi Ava:The boots are pretty comfortable; I did put in insoles and the heel is pretty short so they are wearable on long days.Regarding foundation, I have used Bare Escentuals, L’Oreal and Afterglow Cosmetics. Bare Escentuals gives the best coverage but makes me itch and looks sort of false on me. L’Oreal looked a bit muddy on me. Afterglow to me has been the most gentle to my skin, but a finish like a tinted moisturizer – not as opaque. Will be doing a review on Afterglow this week on Wardrobe Oxygen.

  2. Luckily at the time of the picture, they were mainly along my hairline and jaw. I am LOVING this new concealer from Revlon because it really does seem to hide redness as well as under eye circles. Then the philosophy stuff is genius – I keep reapplying to the red spots and it just sits there and doesn’t cake and lasts almost all day (right now I am looking a tad worse for wear and have hives on my cheeks and eyelids).

  3. I use Sheer Miracles mineral makeup and I like it. I just bought Bare Escentuals a few days ago.

I have to say again that I love the Smashbox Photo Finish Primer!

  5. Hey Allie,
I LOVE that dress! And the boots – they are what I’ve been looking for. Are they comfortable?

About make-up foundation: Currently, I use a Chanel bronzer (applied lightly during winter) and would like to try the “mineral” type of makeup – i.e bare esscentials, etc. Would you be able to recommend a good brand?

Thanks for any suggestions. Hives or not, you still look wonderful.

    Ava
