This is a very busy week at work so outfits are a last-minute hasty decision while I am replying to an email on my iPhone while trying to blow dry my hair and keep Emerson from emptying the contents of my jewelry armoire onto our bedroom floor. While I am not a fan of wearing white before Memorial Day, this new dress from Lands' End made for uber-simple dressing this morning and gave me an opportunity to wear very comfortable flat shoes to give the feet a break from the heels I wore yesterday.  This is more of a weekend look for me – something you could easily see me wearing to the farmers market or running errands.  Stay tuned folks, have some ideas cooking for fun outfits for the next couple of days!

  5. Lovely look, absolutely fab bracelets and I like the way you use brown as an accessory.  I don’t wear brown well near my face so I had given up on it.  I may try this – thanks for the inspiration!

  7. I think I need this dress too, like Carolyn. It’s so pretty and fresh. And the way you tied your scarf is so . . . . French!

  9. Ooh, thank you! That’s promising! I have really wide hands, so bangles can be tough, but I love the mixed look of that set.

  10. The only bracelet I have a problem with is the one someone commented on in the reviews on the Soft Surroundings site. The largest rhinestone bangle had all its stones when I got it, but last night I found a “diamond” on the floor. This morning I saw it came out of the bangle, and I lost a second one in my lap on the Metro. Should be relatively easy to put back in, but annoying. The rest of the bracelets are really nice, good weight, and run a bit big in size which makes me and my chunky paws happy. You can see I removed the warm toned bracelets and added two bronze rhinestone bracelets I had on hand, but the set has a ton of bangles which improves the price. I got a similar set from Nordstrom for $35 and the bracelets are crap and look cheap – these from Soft Surroundings are nice enough that you could wear any bangle individually and it would look nice.

  11. Very cute, though I think you can wear white anytime! love it with the camel accessories.

  13. I love those bangles! If you have time, can you give an update on how well-made they are/aren’t and how easily they do/don’t fit over your hands? They’re a bit pricey if they aren’t put together very well.

  15. I think I need this dress. Eloise has a little girl version from Gap Kids that I picked up at a consignment shop- she has had a similar dress pretty much every summer since she was born and I am always so jealous of them!
