Washed and conditioned hair, added some Jonathan Silky Dirt and used diffuser to dry, then a curling iron to smooth out the frizzy curls and to straighten the bangs. Then a bit more Jonathan Silky Dirt twirled around dry curls for definition. Today was a VERY rainy day so I knew I wouldn't have super fabu hair, but the Jonathan Silky Dirt does keep the hair looking pretty tame in such weather.

Makeup is L'Oreal True Match concealer in W4-5, philosophy The Supernatural in Beige, Cargo Matte BeachBlush in Tenerife, Revlon ColorStay Shadow quad in Neutral Khakis – ivory in inenr corners, khaki on lid, chocolate in crease and along lash lines. Two coats of DiorShow in black on curled lashes. On lips is Revlon Super Lustrous lip gloss in Glossy Rose.

  1. I find that blacks from similar fabrics usually match pretty well. These were very close in texture and color. I have also worn this top with black stretch poplin trousers that also have a similar fabric and therefore color of black.

    Knits seem to be the toughest – they will end up gray, green, blue… cottons and crepes/matte jersey seem to be the msot true in a black color and terfore easier to mix and match.

  2. This is so pretty. I rarely mix black pieces because I never seem to have two shades that match. How important is it that the shades match? Am I being to anal?
