Necklace: cartouche (similar), “Emerson” pendant – Tags-n-Stones, Saint Patrick medallion

If you follow me on Instagram you know that this weekend I found a Saint Patrick medallion right outside my car door. It immediately caught my eye, and I felt it was some sort of sign, though not sure what kind for this non-Irish, non-Catholic gal. But I picked it up, cleaned it off, and put it in my pocket. My friend Sarah mentioned she was given one as a gift before she left for the Peace Corps and felt it kept her safe through many experiences; when she lost it and encountered some bad travel experiences.  I decided to add it to this necklace of silver items that mean a lot to me.  The cartouche was a gift I received back in middle school, the “Emerson” disc was a gift from a reader soon after E was born.  I need to get a proper set of jump rings so it hangs properly, but for now Saint Patrick joins the group on a tiny silver safety pin.

As for the title of the post, I feel this is the standard Alison outfit.  Stripes, leopard, a big silver cuff bracelet, hair in a messy updo.  Since I got these boyfriend jeans, they have become a standard as well and I know will get a lot of wear in the next several months.
