Perimenopause: Real Experiences, Honest Reviews & No Gatekeeping

Nobody prepared us for this.

Perimenopause is one of the most significant things happening in a lot of our bodies right now, and for a long time the conversation was barely happening. No one told us that itchy ears, brain fog, frozen shoulder, and rage that comes out of nowhere are symptoms. No one told us about the insomnia, the racing thoughts, and how we all would wake up in unison at 3am. And the celebrity wellness brands that finally showed up to the conversation? I have thoughts.

I started writing about perimenopause because I was living it and couldn’t find honest, specific, non-salesy information from someone who actually looked and lived like me. What I’ve shared here is my own experience: the symptoms, what I tried, what helped, what was a waste of money, and my journey to eventually trying HRT after swearing I never would. Real talk, not a sponsored wellness journey.

You’ll find product reviews (including ones I was skeptical of going in), my take on HRT after being on it over a year, what’s actually helped with hot flashes and sleep, and my ongoing frustration with the way perimenopause is being monetized while women are still suffering through it without real answers.

This is not medical advice. But it is one woman’s honest account, and sometimes that’s exactly what you need to feel less alone and ask better questions at your next doctor’s appointment.
