Gap Skimmer Jeans: Versatile Style for Now and Spring

I recently visited Gap and felt like a kid in a candy store. Adorable jackets, tons of stripes (we all know how I adore stripes), and fun jeans including their new Women’s Skimmer Jeans. Named because they skim the ankles as well as the body from waist to hem. I’m pleasantly surprised by how flattering the Gap Skimmer Jeans are on my curvy frame. I tried on several variations and fell for the 1969 Dot Always Skinny Skimmer. I immediately thought of the outfit possibilities!

Styling Gap Skimmer Jeans Four Ways

Here I styled Gap's stripe twill jacket in navy and white stripes with Gap Skimmer Jeans in a navy dot pattern. I continued the pattern mixing with a navy polka-dot scarf. And because I believe leopard is a neutral, finished the look with leopard calfhair kitten heel pumps. You can see more of this outfit at this link.

Who says Gap Skimmers are only for Casual Friday or a weekend out? I find these so comfortable they're great for relaxing at home. I paired my Gap Skimmer Jeans with a heather blue off the shoulder sweatshirt and tan leather flats.

I dressed up my Gap Skimmers with a white blazer, one of my favorite ways to elevate jeans. Stripes and leopard (my signature) and some bold gold chains to add a pop of shine.

The Skimmers from Gap are the perfect base for any outfit. Here I added pops of turquoise and plum with the dark stretch denim for a look that is easy but full of style and polish. Gap Skimmer Jeans are lean enough to look great under a tunic, but substantial enough to stand on their own with a shorter or tucked-in top or jacket. What versatility!
