Big thanks to reader Lee who told me that Gap was having many of their pants on sale. Of COURSE I chose a style that wasn't on sale, but I had $40 in savings coupons thanks to my Banana Republic Visa (shopping tip – if you know you won't abuse them, get credit cards for your favorite retailers. Many like Banana Republic offer amazing coupons and deals only to cardholders). I bought this sweater, these pants, and another top that was $17 (may wear it tomorrow).
I still stuck with 12 Ankle for the Gap Perfect Trousers – I am not a 10 yet, and these fit nicely – not tight, not too big. I think they will fit well even if I lose another ten pounds.

lol @ the pre-baby shopping spree/retail fix! My second was a scheduled C-section and I did the same thing but with earrings and makeup.
And I vote that the earrings with this outfit get featured a LOT more often – they look wonderful on you.

I bought these earrings just a day or two before I went to the hospital to deliver Emerson. I raced through Nordstrom and bought like 3 pairs of earrings and a pair of sunglasses so I could get a retail fix before going back on bedrest. Total insanity, but I have loved them ever since! 🙂

You do look great; congrats on having some pants that fit again! I usually shy away from baggy dolman sleeve sweaters like that, or if I do wear them wear them with a slim bottom, but it really works well with that trouser silhouette. Thanks for the inspiration.

Whoot! Love getting a shout out. I would have bought the Perfect Trousers as well (in black) since I had a 40% off coupon, but they didn’t have them in a Long in my size — opposite end of the height spectrum here!
