I am okay. Thank you all for your concern, you all are so wonderful!

My boss yesterday suggested I leave work early because I had to get in early today. I am glad I didn't. By time I got to the Metro (I do ride the Red line of the Metro for part of my commute) it had already happened and they were saying there would be a 15-20 minute delay. I, and many other riders chose to walk a few blocks to a different color Metro line to get home.

My neighbor who works a block from me also is safe – this accident happened before 5pm, before either of us usually get to the trains.

However watching those getting off the buses to the hospitals, I did see familiar faces. Almost two years of this commute, you start to recognize and become friendly with your fellow Metro riders. my heart and prayers go out to the families of the victims, and I wish much strength to those who are injured. Such a scary event, I dashed home to hold Emerson as I watched the news. I ask all of you to send your vibes, positive thoughts, prayers to those involved in the DC Metro accident and their families.
