  1. I have removed the link to that message board, because it just felt wrong. I don’t want people to feel sorry for me or despise these women for what they said. I think of the snarky comments I have said about various celebs and people… and the many more that I think in my head. We all have done similar, just maybe haven’t posted it on the internet or thought it was in a more private location.

Comments like this may hurt a second, but then you realize they shouldn’t be taken personally and have no bearing on life as a whole. I am over it 🙂 and I thank you guys for your positive comments!

  2. Okay, I just read the posts and I feel somewhat nauseated. I guess I have not had such exposure to unkindness since high school and so have forgotten how mean and idiotic some people can be. I love your blog – you have a great style and offer great reviews. Keep it up girl!

  3. omg, I didn’t know “The Plastics” from Mean Girls had their own E! message board. Insecure biatches..

If I didn’t love The Soup so much, I’d swear off watching E! all together b/c of this….

  4. I have to wonder what motivates people to be so mean. I do know it makes them feel better about themselves as soon as they “say” it. Later I’m sure they regret it. Thanks for taking the time to blog, I for one, enjoy them.

  5. Just had to add my support! I’ll always be a fan! 🙂 People will say anything and everything from behind a computer. Sad to say I’ve been on both ends – they both suck. ;P

  6. Allie, you’re amazing. I love that you just brush that off. I think you look fabulous (a well dressed hot chick) and you are an inspiration to me too. 🙂

  7. Ditto to what others have said. I check your blogs daily–love them both for great writing, product reviews, ways you put outfits together, lists of wardrobe staples and seasonal updates–they are inspiring!

People who must talk badly about others to feel better about themselves are the saddest of all, I think.

  8. I truly enjoy reading your blog, and appreciate the time you take in sharing. I have “met” some really cool people on blogs, but it just goes to show that there are also the mean spirited out there. They are the ones with issues. I hope you don’t let their petty comments hurt you.

  9. *shocked*

oh my god, I can’t believe those women on that forum. Have they never heard of supporting other women, instead of being bitchy and vapid? And I love your green blouse…

Kepp being you! I love that you post photos of your outfits nearly everyday and that you’re so enviably cute!

  10. Allie! I adore your blog, I read it every time you update and you are my fashion icon. For reals. 🙂 GOOD for you for not letting the turkeys get you down! Your cheerful attitude is the very best thing about you.

  11. The original post was quite funny -I was all ready to be offended on your behalf, and then realised that she said she was envious of your great blogging idea. (Were you the first person in the blogosphere to have a site like this? Pretty cool achievement!)

The comments afterwards astounded me. Where do people get the energy to be so bitchy? Their lives must be very empty and sad if they need to make themselves feel better by putting other people down. It’s not interesting, it’s not smart, it’s not creative, it’s not public-spirited – all words which do describe your blogs.

  12. You all are so sweet! When i first linked to it, it was only the original post which I found funny. It then grew to be mean-spirited, but heck… I don’t know these women and they sure don’t know me so why do I care? 🙂

And Melissa, yeah of you click on “Came From” or “Recent Came From” you’ll get the url of where someone has not just linked to you, but has clicked on that link to come to your site. I have had about 100 visitors already from that link which I find to be very fun.

  13. Wow-those are some seriously hateful women on that thread-especially the OP who has never had a job and aspires to look like a Kennedy.

Allie-I love this blog, you are a real woman who wears real clothing and is open and honest about your good and bad days-you have the first blog I read every morning and are my go-to girl for product recs.

    Love ya shug!

  14. Allie,

Some wise person once said to me, “if they are talking about you, you must be doing something right!” That is how I deal with “haters!” I have found that most people who have nothing nice to say, usually find a seat next to me and I end up putting them in their place with some sort of sarcasm — but I do not like such evils!

I admire you for putting yourself out to the universe and helping others feel amazing and for being one smart cookie when it comes to fashion.

BTW — I am using StatCounter — how did you find these biatches by using them? Did you just click on the “recent came from” and it took you directly to the site? I am curious.

    Keep being you!!!

  15. Allie, I love this blog and check it everyday. I think you represent what real women look like and look fabulous doing it. I dress and look better because I read your blog. The terrible truth is that women are a terrible breed that like to bag and bitch about other people for no reason.

  16. I missed whatever drama, sorry it happened to you. That is a very pretty lip color, especially with the blouse. And I like your signature on your posts!

  17. Seems like a rotten group of people on that forum devoid of any human feeling for others. Awful , nasty, mean stuff.
Keep on keeping on honey, you are doing fine and those who *know* you from this blog, love you.

  18. I am amazed at the (incorrect) things people find to say online. You’re gorge and I don’t think caring about your appearance denotes shallowness. You’re in the game, bay-bee!

  19. Eh, after the comments from the original post on E! I don’t think it’s necessarily awesome anymore, but I find it even more entertaining and hysterical!

  20. Wow, what bitchy women! I would like to see what THEY look like every day. Bet they are fat ladies in tapered jeans from Walmart. It’s easy to sound fashionable, much harder to LOOK it to the whole world.

You impress me with your ability to find these kind of things funny. Brush it off, you go Allie!

  21. Aren’t you a cutie patootie! Ah, I am not offended or hurt by it at all… I actually think it’s awesome! And hi to the dozens of people who have visited since the post! 🙂
