Hair is second day, all I did was brush it. Makeup is Max Factor Pan-Stik, Nars blush in Orgasm, Revlon ColorStay shadow quad in Neutral Khakis, DiorShow mascara, Stila Lip Glaze in Fruit Cake.

Running VERY late this morning, which makes me all the happier that I am slowly building back a simple wardrobe of mix and match basics. Got dressed in five minutes and look work-appropriate. Even if I had to meet with clients today, I wouldn’t be embarrassed. Yay!

And speaking of the wardrobe, this is the denim pencil skirt I mentioned before. This is the size 14 petite. It’s a tad big, but I tried the 12 petite in the store and it was too tight. And you can tell this skirt runs long, a non-petite version would look ridiculous on me. But I love this skirt as much as I thought I would – the seaming is so flattering – it doesn’t cling to my butt, but it skims curves so I don’t look like a tube or a sausage. The denim is the perfect weight – has some stretch, but keeps its shape all day long. It’s a side zip and no pockets so the fit is smooth and classic. Totally love it and it is worth the price – this puts to shame all the denim skirts from LOFT, Gap, Old Navy, Macy’s and all the other places I have looked over the past year!

And because I haven’t posted a picture of Emerson lately, this is Emerson’s outfit today – romper from Gap, shoes from Pediped. Check out those legs, she is surely her father’s daughter!

  1. Oh wow you look TERRIFIC in this outfit, really rockin’ the cardigan and pencil skirt. A simple and classic combo but one of your best looks recently, and you’ve had some good pictures the last few weeks too! 😀

  2. Just wait until Emerson gets a little bigger–you will be with me and Gab searching out slim-size pants. They are a total PITA to find, but I tell Gabby that she’ll be happy with her long legs some day. Emerson is adorable, btw, and I love that skirt.

  3. FYI, you look super! You’re always beautiful, but I can see WW is really making a difference. Which is SO ENCOURAGING to me, because I just joined the online program this week!
